Actually, the calculation for the XP required is

(Lvl / 2) x (Lvl-1) x 1000

Yup. We even know how to calculate XP per CR without XP table. Just for quick reference. And not everyone know the formula.

i'm not a DnD expert, but I was just wondering..
is that equation really correct??

(Lvl/2) x (Lvl-1) x 1000...

it seems... wrong..
no offense..

Lets see with my formula.
(N-0+N-1+N-2+N-3...N-N)*1000

Where N is the current level.

Example.
If we are level 8 then the target XP is 36,000 to become level 9. Lets check if my formula is right.

=(8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-0)*1000
=36*1000
=36000

Yey my formula is correct!!! Very Happy

To know the XP required for the next level the formula is only Levelx1000. Example, you need 8000 xp to get to level 9. ^__^
