Here's something I'd like to ask:

This concerns the Hammer of Moradin Prestige Class. At 2nd level a hammer of Moradin gains the Goblinkiller ability, which allows him to imbue any warhammer with the goblinoid bane property. This effect lasts a number of rounds equal to my Cha modifier. Unfortunately dwarves aren't particularly charismatic, and as such my modifier is at a -2. Since I find it unlikely that, upon imbuing a warhammer with the goblinoid bane property, the effect wears off two rounds ago, what happens here? No minimum number of rounds was stated. Does it stay online for at least one round, or can you not use Goblinkiller at all (or, alternatively, you could use it, but it would wear off as soon as you did)?

*Split!*

I think the duration will have a minimum of one round. You can't get negative duration. If ever you increased your cha modifier to +1, by written, the duration is still one round. I don't have access to the book right now.

OTher classes with class features with duration dependent on ability score has a minimum number of rounds, minimum of one round. It is permissable to allow the duration HoM's bane ability to 1+cha modifier, with minimum of one round. That's my call. So, a charisma modifier of +1 will give you 2 round duration. ^_^

It is possible to create a feat that gives you extra uses of it per day ala extra rage or extra turning or extra smiting.

I don't really mind. I'm still thinking of a decent name, though.

Yeah, a new feat should work, but it isn't worth it. Take up a feat slot to increase an ability that works only against goblinoids? Not really useful.

Actually, I like the Bloodstorm Blade (ToB:Bo9S) better, if you're focusing on throwing big weapons. If I recall correctly, at 3rd or 4th level, he can throw weapons with his full attack, even combine melee with thrown attacks (slash-throw-slash-throw or throw-throw-throw-throw). Plus, he can consider his thrown attacks as melee attacks (adding Str rather than Dex to the atk roll, applying melee feats such as Power Attack, Weapon Focus, Cleave, etc.).

WHy not War Hulk/Hulking Hurler Twisted Evil It is the easiest build to become a monster specialized on throwing. Tried to do one though, but it was soooo low treasure campaign that I was already at level 10 and could not even penetrate DR/Magic. You were there right. You and your 50+AC animal companion.

My apoloies on that campaign. It had 10 players and I wanted to make life a livin hell for you guys. Bad DM-ing.
I'd like to think that I learned to handle ames better. For example, I will not entertain players after my self-imposed 5-player limit. Hehe

I've run my own game here (a group of about 7 players, give and take). A bunch of guys and gals hailing from 2nd Edition and I had to convert them to 3.5. Anyways, I let them get a gist of gestalt, and boy, did they break the game! Some of 'em were too noobies to take advantage, but a few managed to pull off some cool class combos. And a note to DMs: Playing a gestalt game *does* mean the brakes are all off! Man, when my dudes got to 5th level, it took me EL 8s to challenge them properly!

Bah, the Hulking Hurler is overrated. He's just a big hunk of muscle and not much else. No match to a full-blown caster by the time character levels hit double digits. For me, nothing beats the Cleric! That's more than enough power for me. Of course, I won't say no to a Wizard/Archmage. Smile

Actually, the Bloodstorm Blade I am picturing in my mind is a dwarf with a dwarven waraxe. Something like Warblade 10/Exotic Weapon Master 1/Bloodstorm Blade 9. In a gestalt game I'm playing in right now (one of the dudes here is trying his hand on DMing), my build goes like this: Cloistered Cleric 15/Contemplative 5//Warblade 10/Exotic Weapon Master 1/Bloodstorm Blade 4/Hierophant 5. Cleric spells for buff, Bloodstorm Blade abilities for throwing my dwarven waraxe, and a heightened holy word for the finisher. With the feats I've got, it'll take a monster about 8 more HD than me to not be affected by the holy word.

Hulking hurler is very good for its damage potential. It is not the best character around since one charm monster is good enough for him. Blindness/deafness will work too!

Hulking Hurler is a class where the damage potential is expressed in exponential. SOmeone calculated how much HP earth has and the hulking hurler could destroy the earth with one attack. Shocked

Anyway, check this out: Hammer of Moradin handbook.
