*attached is pdf with Lvl 1 Bladesinger details

There's something wrong with bladespells: they are ranged attack powers, which you use when you a creature with a melee attack. It would definitely provoke OA, unless bladespell keyword has that special property. Or if your packing a whip Wink

EDIT: they won't provoke OA due to Guarded Flourish feature. Ovelooked that part Embarassed

And Bladesong Utility power is the bomb. It's a nova starter.

In theory it should be fun and flashy, though it has yet to be seen in play. And if it really is a controller. So far it's mechanically a striker (the bladespells adds Dex on dmg, so that 1[w]+Int+Dex) without daily-strength powers (they have wizard encounter as dailies...). They'll probably make some changes when Neverwinter Campaign Guide/Settings is released (where they will feature the full class), like what they did with Swordmage before. (iirc preview Swordmage adds Int 2x to AC, one from class feature, one for not wearing heavy armor)

Currently, it strikes me more as a controller|striker hybrid. They should just take that to heart and bill the class with a hybrid role, IMO.

Iirc, the bladesinger has always been more of a, "I will cast my spells thru this sword, making it sing with my magic" than "I'm a bard with a sword."

By its flavor, the blade is the one 'singing', not the wielder.
