Well, my assumption was that you'll be happy to see the power source anyway. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, of course; but I think I like the monk in psionic.
Lemme ask, though: Why don't you like them there? _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Well, perhaps, I've been playing rpgs for along time and monks are in no way to be classified as a psionic class. It would have been more acceptable in my end, if it was called a zerth or something like that, IMO. But what the hell that's only IMO.
edit: It may have sounded that I'm dissing the monk. Nope, it's just the flavor. But heck, I'm still willing to try it out. It's psionic anyway. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

It seems that the hybrid rules have been upgraded somewhat.
Hybrid Rules Update as linked by mudbunny.
Notable changes include:
*hp is now completely halved from the original (ie, cleric hybrids get 2.5hp/lvl), and the hp gain at each level is the sum of both rounded down.
*Hybrid Talent feat has been reduced somewhat in effectiveness. You can now only choose from the list (which can include a massive boost of armor proficiency where applicable)
*PHB2 classes are now covered in the article. (go bardbarian! XD)
*Paragon Hybrid is an option for hybrid characters instead of getting a paragon path. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Bonethrall Player Resource Updated 12/07/09
Specifics:
*Eberron Player's Guide (EPG)
Exceptions:
-All dragonmark/regional-related stuff are closed. This includes all PP's that have dragonmark/regional requirements, as well as feats that pertain to dragonmarks/regions. (names in PP's are fine, and you may still appeal for the use of certain PP's for the approval of the fluff team).
-All deity-specific stuff are closed. This includes all PP's and ED's that have "must worship Eberron god X" as a requirement. (you may still appeal for the use of certain PP's for the approval of the fluff team.) Holy Symbols found in EPG are closed.
*Dragon 377: PHB3 Debut (The Psion)
It is advised for you to have printouts of individual Psion powers if you wish to use them for your characters. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

on another note... RPGA sent me a reward card that allows a player access to the Spellscared feature. I have no interest in using it. So i'm going to see if it's legal to hand it over to someone else. If so, is anyone here interested in receiving it? I'm going to snail-mail it for free.
The new Hybrid class is tempting, but I think I fell in-love even more with Warlords. I mean, I don't see any other classes which allows for so much party-movement in one encounter.... kind of makes the entire party feel like a skirmish warband. hehehe.
oh yeah, chief... Whips are also back, and they get the awesome effect of applying a -2 to ATK to any poor target that gets hit with it. _________________

Unfortunately, we're not tied to RPGA yet, gareth. @_@ We work under our own restrictions atm. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

If you have BT characters that have not been updated for awhile now in the Cast of Characters thread, please feel free to PM me. I can't tend to these things immediately, but if it's in a PM, I at least won't forget about it.
On another note, I think we might need to get a new tech team member one of these days. erwin and I are starting to get real busy lately. @__@ _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Agreed. I didn't do much for tech, but I, too, will soon be rather busy. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

BT has gotten stale lately. I may do one final update on the Player Resources, then close every other upcoming books/supplements.
Do not fret, though. Future books may still be accomodated, but mostly via the RFA system.
I do plan some big changes, though. As the amount of official material are now piling up, I will close off quite a number of options that were previously open. Existing characters under the cast are unaffected (it will be assumed that they have an accepted RFA). Some of the changes I'm thinkking of are:
Not final yet
*Cut down the available books to PHB and the Power Books series 1
*Disallow the Divine Power source to all incoming characters _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Cutting off the Divine power source seemed brutal, way back, but I'm kicking myself now for not proposing it earlier.
Conceptually writing a heroic arc, "In the Service of the Iron Hand", but certain writing commitments mean I can't get to it. Only so much time available to devote to the hobby these days.
Cleaning up fluff and tech sounds good. I further move the consolidation of fluff and tech into one team. The division is artificial and hurts coordination. That's if anyone still wants to get this sucker dragged out from the muck that it's stuck in. _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

We can pool very few people in to clean it up, set the setting and its rules to a fixed state, and let the people use it whenever they like.
After that, all we have to do is come out with interesting bits once in a while, and update official characters. People can still log their adventures on the Campfire, but the small team will decide what happens canonically.
At least, that's how I want it done at this point. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |
