Chroma is ok, but pair it with Iname, Death Aspect and you get a 50/50 fatty. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

Wild guess, but I think hybrid mana will be counted differently -- letting (2/b) mana be equal to both (2) and (B) is a little too much. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

I disagree, actually. The way MtG rules are constructed, calling hybrid mana anything else would make it rather inconsistent. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

I thought that (2/b) should be different from (2) and (B) because if (2/b) were considered equal then 2R, 2GG, (2/w)(2/u) cards should trigger Chroma... But then I re-read the rules text on Chroma, so my bad. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

12 more cards for your viewing (and spoiling) pleasure. Make sure to check out Unmake and Stigma Lasher to put them on "must-haves" ~~,
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=magic/eventide/spoiler
And also, a new mechanic, Retrace was introduced! It's Flashback 2.0 actually, but still great mech. Check out Raven's Crime for that too. ~~
Retrace-mechanic cards + Crucible of Worlds = Who needs land cards anyways? ~~ _________________

A new specter is in town!

You still need them, remember that you have to discard lands to play retrace spells. then play the land from your graveyard.
Unless your playing Worm harvest.
From the current list, here's what I can say:
*stigma lasher is gay.
*overbring of myth is also gay.
*unmake is even gayer. (No, my mossbridge troll ( )
*Altar golem sucks (theoretically, though possibly strong since there are many token producers)
*doomgape is cute. (qbf, it's the missing link to mossbridgetroll!! )
*thunderblust is also cute. kinda like blistering firecat _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

Commentary on the cards:
Endless horizons - Pro: Never waste a draw on plains again, Con: You might never get another plains again(in b4 disenchant)
Needle Specter - Pro: unchecked, can zero a player's hand quickly. Con: Thinner than hypnotic(power of fire lol)
Raven's Crime - Pro: Throw away chaff for your opponent's chaff. Con: would you waste your land on this, or something better?
Umbra Stalker - Pro: It can be HUGE(BFM, anyone?). Con: non-evasive, Unprotected, erratic, graveyard-hosed, etc, etc.
Outrage Shaman - Pro: Creature with free critter burn(minimum 2). Con: cmc5 for a 2/2. No shriekmaw this is.
Stigma Lasher - Pro: By double your life total, you mean gain no life, right? Con: Now how to get it to connect?
Thunderblust - Pro: Get out of jail with a free toaster? Awesome. Con: Lacks the early surprise of the original.
Phosphorescent Feast - Pro: If you happen to be packing a set of overbeings on hand, whee! Con: See previous statement.
Bloom Tender - Pro: Haig potential. Could get you 3 mana on turn 3, or better. Con: Nothing much, really, besides being rare.
Swirling Spriggan - Pro: So green goblins are spriggans now, and this one's artsy. Con: Doesn't really do much, though painting stuff may help you win.
Call the Skybreaker - Pro: Biggie generator. Reminiscent of Dragon roost. Con: slow, mana costly.
Doomgape - Pro: DOOM!... anyway, Hueg bulldozer which mulches things to life, including himself. Fun stuff. Con: At its worst play, its 7 mana for 10 life.
Drain the Well - Pro: more G lanD. Con: lol thermokarst at +1 cmc for +1 life. Poison was more useful.
Overbeing of Myth - Pro: Control fiend's friend. Con: non-evasive, unprotected, Erratic. Though its home would probably fix that.
Restless Apparition - Pro: Unpredictable, can push in 8/7 dmg on idortes. Con: needs your mana plox.
Scourge of the Nobilis - Pro: Nice mix of abilities. Con: Enchant creature.
Shorecrasher Mimic - Pro: Cheap juggernaut. Con: If you have a spare u/g card.
Unmake - Pro: White creature kill that doesn't say attack or block, get ready for lol expensive. Con: Aside from being forced for color mana...
Worm Harvest - Pro: synergy card. wormspam. Con: Gravehosed.
Altar golem - Pro: Could be HUEG, has Trample. Con: Sardian slow, erratic. _________________

no, i don't think so. if you have crusher in play you won't draw any more lands, and unless you have a way of getting the land cards back in your hand, you won't be paying that retrace cost anyway. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |
