Check out this awesome combo:
Splinter + Splintering Wind + Retraced Image
You use Splintering Wind to put a Splinter token into play, then you play Retraced Image revealing Splinter. What happens here?

214.1a The term “permanent card” is used to refer to a card that could be put into play. Specifically,
it means an artifact, creature, enchantment, land, or planeswalker card.
