any thoughts guys?

i think this is a lot better than lorwyn in terms that there are a lot more decks to do, not just that, but there are cards that even help the old tribal ones (inescapable giant for my giant deck haha)

Shadowmoor is showing a lot of potential... Though I detest the untap mechanic.

Mono-white control is showing some promise, as do mono-black control. Red is made faster, an attempt to return it to its glory back in the days. Blue control is made a lot weaker, to balance out with how it was with the previous sets. Green... I dunno. No card has caught my attention yet except for Dramatic Entrance.

Well, if it's called Dramatic Entrance, then it should catch your attention. Laughing

I've been waiting for Cerebral Bore counterspell mechanics for a long time.

i agree, although i am liking "wither", so i balances out for me i guess.. and im especially liking this specific card:

Flame Javelin 2/r 2/r 2/r
Instant

deals 4 dmg to target creature or player

i have a feeling there will be a lot of red decks from this block.. that's just me though :d

I've been tracking the previews. I'm not too hot on the new mechanics, except maybe persist. The enchantments look sweet, like advanced auramancy and sun-and-moon wheel (it screams combo). RG beatdown has some potent weapons.

SCARECROWS....

Scarecrows will change the way I play. Think mana ramp-reaper king-changeling deck. Some really cool artifacts there. My cloud key deck just got a shot in the arm.
