They've given a preview of the book on the January: In The Works article, though book is actually released on February >.>. (you have to scroll down a bit)

Quote:
We will say, however, that Heroes of the Elemental Chaos includes elemental character themes such as the earthforger, firecrafter, watershaper, and janissary (servant of the genies). You'll also find class additions such as the elementalist, a subclass of the sorcerer, and the sha'ir, a subclass of the wizard, as well as options for other classes, including two new monastic traditions for the monk: desert wind and eternal tide. Plus, you might cast Melf's minute meteors, or summon an invisible stalker.

I can guess that desert wind monk tradition got some ideas from Desert Wind style from Book on Nine Swords.

Also, shugenja is not on the preview description, but we can still see it in the the product description. Maybe they're not going to preview it. ?_?

I like the Crack the World wizard attack power. Very flavorful, and control-ish, though IMO I think it lacks damage, or it needs more effects. For an epic daily spell.

More previews::

Elemental Magic
Their take on the elemental energy from Elemental Chaos. As origin of magic, a form of magic, and a different power source altogether. Also previews who's who in the Elemental Chaos.

Character Themes
Rules on character themes, and a preview of Janissary theme.

The level 10 utility looks solid. An offensive second wind, getting +2 to attack rolls instead to defenses.

Monk Excerpt: SUBLIME WAY
Bo9S-inspired(?) monastic tradition. Now under Elemental and Psionic power source

Sha'ir Wizard
It's like a re-flavored Witch >.> The class features are almost the same (it doesn't have Magic Missile for free as well), although it can be deduced that sha'ir powers will revolve around the familiar in active mode. Kinda like a Pokemon user Laughing

Limited wish is... underwhelming
Anyone happen to recognize the monster in the cover?

I'm 90% sure the monster in the cover is Cryonax, Evil Prince of Elemental Cold. One of the elemental princes serving the elder elemental eye iirc.

On Limited Wish, beyond duplicating known spells, it's actually pretty close to what Limited Wish used to do. Guaranteeing that the next miss is actually a hit is even better than a guaranteed autohit, plus with the AEDU structure it basically combos well with a crucial daily.

I do wish (pun intended) that it can autosave against something, though. That would have been in line with how powerful Limited Wish used to be. Or maybe ritual duplication. Hmm...
