All right, is anyone interested in playing both of the Deathwatch preview missions? I've got a serious hankering for 40k right now. I feel bad about dropping the ball in DH, and I want to push this bloodthirsty little bugger forward.

Deathwatch: Final Sanction and Oblivion's Edge throw the players headlong into a full-blown invasion by the Tyranid Hive Fleets, in a desperate effort to rally the faltering defenses of an Imperial World caught in the Swarm's crosshairs. The only warriors tough enough to turn the tide are the Emperor's Own Space Marines, specifically the Kill-Teams of the Deathwatch.

While I'd love to GM, AAS has beaten me to the punch, so I'll defer to his dibs. Besides the GM, the adventure supports 4-6 players (Pregenerated characters include 1 Dark Angel Assault Marine, 1 Blood Angel Devastator, 1 Ultramarine Apothecary, 1 Space Wolf Tactical Marine, and 2 extra Tactical marines (Ultramarine and Storm Warden)).

AAS has offered to GM. Are there any players interested? When would you be good to go? AAS has said he might be able to host as well, but would anyone be willing to offer a locale accessible to all?

As for me, I call the Blood Angel Devastator, and my personal vote for time would be any weekend evening, sort of mirroring our old game times, Thursday or Friday? I'd offer to host, but my place is not as accessible for some of the others I think. If we need a mat and minis, I can supply those, (gimme a day to assemble the assault marine with powerfist) except for the Heavy Bolter Devastator. (unfortunately, I don't have any 'Nids to put on the table XD)

DA Assault Marine, reporting for the Emprah's hallowed conflict. Lock, load and keep those chainswords purring.

Strictly Fridays and weekends for me, gents. Until I land a new job, that is. But let us bank on me not ever getting one and falling into a pit of fresh despair day in and day out.

update:

How does Sunday afternoon/evening, mid to late September sound? We're having a short hiatus for our Dark Sun games, leaving that bit of schedule blank. If that's good, boy_bakal has expressed interest in joining, and my brother would also want to try the game out. We'd have to wait for a month though.

I also notice that no one wants to touch the Smurf Marines. XD Guys, I think we'll need that Apothecary, stat.

So who's good for Deathwatch on the 18th or 19th? The 18th is OGM day so we could probably run it there.

Who's hosting? Ideally, host and GM are priority here. Also, player numbers?

My brother also wants to give it a shot, playing the Storm Warden Tac Marine. I still want to give the BA Devastator a shot.

>_> A family thing just got dumped on my lap on the 18th. So we're playing on the 19th, I suppose. Any suggestions for a venue? We can do it here but, you know...accessibility...

I wouldn't mind hosting. So long as it's on the 19th Razz

I haven't read Deathwatch at all, though, so I may need some quick tutelage...

Well, I've read through the rules writeup in the pregens, and it's pretty much Dark Heresy upgunned. The pregen adventures don't feature much of the Deathwatch-unique rules afik.

It's all pregenerated characters right now though (unless the book somehow arrives before the weekend).

Character lineup:
-Dark Angel Assault Marine (russianguyovic was interested in this one, but haven't heard from him recently.)
-Blood Angel Devastator Marine (dibs)
-Space Wolf Tactical Marine (Acid Blue called this one, iirc)
-Ultramarines Apothecary
-Ultramarines Tactical Marine
-Storm Warden Tactical Marine (my brother calls dibs on this one)

@AAS: Can you print this one out yourself?

Two things:

1. If we don't hear from russianguyovic soon, my bro would prefer the Dark Angel.

2. We happen to be scheduled to game on International Talk Like A Pirate Day. I'm not sure how well a pirate "Yarr" will translate into High Gothic though. Just a random funny note.

Oh wow, it's ITLAPD already? Huh. Well, the opponents can be FUTURE SPACE PIRATES! Or something like that.

Edit: and yes I can probably print it out.

AAS: Are you still feeling sick? I don't recommend pushing it if you are, just give us a buzz as to whether you're gtg or not. Just make sure to tell BB if it's gtg or not, as he's host.
