Hello,

I am a D&D player who just happened to stumble onto your site by accident (Google, actually). Are you guys playing regularly?

Is anyone interested in joining a new 4th Edition D&D campaign? The setting would be Dawnforge from Fantasy Flight Games. 5 players all starting at 1st level. The first adventure would be Keep on the Shadowfell. I live in Ortigas; and, we can play at my place either on Saturdays or Sundays.

Hello, Renuven!

I don't know how regular some of the others here are with their games, but I can speak for myself and 4 others here (one non board member) when I say that we have a consistent Sunday game going, with me as the DM.

I've ran KotS before, as well as the continuations Thunderspire Labyrinth and Pyramid of Shadows. As such I can dispense some feedback on the module if you're the DM. If you don't want potential players to read about it, though, I can talk about it in a PM.

Oh, and if you're free on Saturday, feel free to check out Polyhedral, which will be held somewhere near MRT GMA station. The entrance includes two consummable drinks, a bag of dice, and the ability to join a game. </shameless plug>

First, Welcome here Renuven. Mingle and jingle and enjoy your stay here. Post anything you want as long as it does not violate any of our ORGASM Wink

Second, yeah, drop by and start making new friends (and connections!)

I am familiar with 4ed rules but not much since I am having hard time squeezing d&d with my work.

Third, just a question. Is it your intention to keep you nick gender-neutral? Pardon you find my gender-sense lacking. @_@

By nick, you mean my username, right?

I am male. Renuven is the name of one of my characters, a Male Human Warrior, when I was still playing World of Warcraft.

I am glad I stumbled onto your group. I don't believe there was a Hobbygamers Circle yet when I graduated from UP but that was a long time ago Smile

Incidentally, do any of you guys play boardgames too? I have Runebound, Warrior Knights, Arkham Horror and Twilight Imperium. Most of our old group in our old neighborhood have moved on to other places now, including me, so it has been a while since I got to play any of these.

As for RPGs, besides 4th Edition D&D, I have the 2nd Edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay too. If any of you guys want to try that, we can try setting up a game.

As I mentioned elsewhere in this thread, I live in Ortigas, very near the MRT station at Shaw Boulevard, and we can play at my place. Hopefully, Ortigas is accessible and close enough for any of you guys who might be interested Smile

Well, isn't that a coincidence. XD We actually go to an event that caters to boardgame (and TCG) enthusiasts every month.

*cue drumroll*

The Open Gaming Meet.

Details here: http://www.newworlds.ph/content/june-open-gaming-meet

Although, for this month I won't be around, since I'll be attending Polyhedral at Timog.

Welcome to the boards!

Most of us here have played D&D 4ed. Hope we could game with you on Saturday (the Polyhedral event), though I'm still unsure whether to go Laughing

I think I've played the Keep on the Shadowfell before, not really sure, might have been a modified version. It was an RPGA sanctioned game. Sadly, my half-elf wizard died after three encounters T_T.

I'm currently DMing a D&D 4ed game, catering for newbie players. The setting isn't actually an established one, it's just a 'generic' game world. Razz

I've played boardgames as well. I don't own any though. I usually get to know them through going to different game events.

Hi Erwin,

Well, if you are interested in any of the boardgames I have, send me a post. I am trying to put together a group to play them Smile

So Renuven you really dropped by!

Nice that you've met the gang. I was not able to come as I had work last night. Hope you had a great time.

I miss playing D&D but the greatest challenge is that I work night shift. It is difficult for me to find a convenient time to play without disrupting my body clock.

Enjoy your stay here - just post post and post!

Of course, I remember you Smile

And, yes, I would be more than happy to have you in the game Smile

I am really glad I went to that event. My goal was to find other people who share the same hobbies. And now I have a list of such people. But I would want to ask from the boards first, since it was here that I originally posted, before going through this list.

Any others from the boards who would want to join? I think there are two more slots left.

Btw, Juaberman, do you have an e-mail address where I can send you messages? I wouldn't want to clutter the forums with all the little details of organizing a game Smile

Hello Xtian,

Yes, I did drop by. And it was more than worth it. Too bad about your schedule. My work schedule is also unusual. My regular office hours are 2 PM - 11 PM Mondays to Fridays but, hey, the work is what pays for the hobbies Smile

I like your work schedule than mine - at least you get to sleep before the sun is up.

Trust me, sleeping 9 hours at night is more refreshing than a 9 hours of sleep during day.

But yeah, we are in agreement that it is work that pays for our hobbies. ^__^

Are these slots for a 4E D&D game? I'm interested if it is. BTW, dark_axis is the name. I'm currently a player under BJ's Sunday game and I'm playing as the party's controller. Started playing RPGs since 2nd ed but through the gaming engines of IWD and BG II. I'm not yet a boardgame fan but I'm always interested to learn new things.

Hello Dark Axis,

Yep, it's 4th Edition D&D; and, you are more than welcome to join Smile

Can you give me your e-mail address though? It might be easier to arrange schedules and all the other details via direct e-mail rather than clutter up the boards.

Also, do you have any contact with Juaberman? I would need his e-mail address too to better coordinate.

Wednesday, June 30, is a holiday; and, with luck and everyone's schedules permitting, we might be able to try for a game. But, I need everyone's e-mail address pronto to coordinate and finalize on-time.

I am also trying to arrange a boardgame group. If it is not possible to go for D&D this Wednesday holiday, then maybe enough people might be available for a boardgame. I'm crossing my fingers though, given the short time to organize.

Here are links to the boardgames I have on hand Twilight Imperium, Runebound, Warrior Knights and Arkham Horror.
