So a friend from AEGIS lent me his vintage Warhammer Fantasy rulebook, and it's interesting enough to give it a spin. The rules are percentile-based: Your attributes are expressed in a percentage (for example, a weapon skill or WS of 25), and the basic premise is that if you attack with your weapon (inside joke intended), you'd want to roll your WS or lower to hit. Modifiers, of course, make it a little bit more unpredictable than that.
The setting itself is your typical low sorcery fantasy, plus a little something called gunpowder (very early versions). Magic causes insanity with overuse, and attacking doesn't only result in hitting or missing - you can lose an ear, get your hand chopped off, or possibly even get kicked in the nuts (well, I'm not actually 100% sure about that last bit, but I'm trying to sell the system here! >.>)
I have it until the next OGM (which probably means until late April). I already have games for Saturdays and Sundays, but between writing for Nosfecatu, studying for Actuary, and the occasional mini painting spree, there's just nothing to do on weekdays. So I'm thinking of running a game 2x a week, lasting for 3 weeks, every Mondays and Fridays (days are negotiable, but note that Wed/Sat/Sun are off-limits for me):
Slots: 3-4
Time: 1pm-5pm
Location: BJ's place (or elsewhere, if you agree to fund my travel expenses)
Estimated Campaign Length: 5 sessions, with 1 extra session for the actual character creation.
Food: Potluck. All players will bring along food contributions worth at least PhP50.00. GM eats for free.
If I can get a 3-4 people committed ASAP, we can probably start as early as April 5 (this coming Monday). This will involve character creation, which is admittedly going to go slow considering all of us are unfamiliar with the system.
So, anyone interested? _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

So no takers, then? I only have the book until the next OGM, so it would be nice if we get to try it before I return the ancient tome.
Will lock this thread if there are no replies by Wednesday. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |
