Well, smother's back. We could see another cheap creature destruction for black to destroy those irritating thoctars, though it's still to early to tell.

The +2 is neat, too, actually. Added functionality due to the "target player" clause, so you can use that for you if you need an out, or you can use that as a sort of soft lock, in some sense.

Very weak spoiler season. Where mah spoilers at? o_O

Though as usual, the spoiled cards look promising so far.

The ramp spells have power creep written allover them...My Summoning Trap deck will get new tools! Novablast Wurm can replace Planar Cleansing...hoping for more beastly creatures for my deck.

This seems pretty decent. Especially with Lotus Cobra's around.

Here's what I see...

a) Most manlands in WWK were Rare...Dread Sanctuary (Stalking Stones 2.0) was the exception at uncommon.

b) At this point, 1/3 of the set (54/145) were spoiled. Some card names and mechanics were still in the process of cracking up.

c) They were just expecting 2 multicolor cards at WWK. >.<

d) Off topic, the "New Phyrexia" block was pushed further and will be the block that would correspond to the "Lights, Camera, Action" block (the block after M2011). It's still a rumor though...

Moar combos!

Selective Memory + Treasure Hunt + Seismic Assault. I'd put in a bunch of tutors and draw, stock up on lands. Play Treasure Hunt aggressively, get out stuff with Selective Memory, put down SA then TH again for like 20+ lands then burn ftw

so far the useful cards for my standard deck will be

the ramp spells for green

the Novablast Wurm

Terastodon

and maybe the Admonition Angel...

maybe elvish piper and summoning trap might increase in value if the deck proves competititve
