I hear M10 is an interesting place to restart or enter Magic, so I think your timing's good.
Welcome to the boards then, namesake. Explore the forums, have fun, join in on a few threads here and there, or hell, start one of your own. The usual nettiquette, be polite, don't troll, yaddayaddayadda (It's all in the Organizational Rules, Guidlines, and Such Matters anyway. :p).

I was quite the Pokemon TCG player before, and am still now. I was also an player of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, but that was all waaaay back in grade school. Ahhhh, memories... 
But other than that, I don't really play a lot of hobby games. (Do DOTA and Warcraft count? 0.0) Probably why I want to join HGC; I want to develop an interest in them.
Magic and those other card games sound interesting, but where I really do want to try my hand at is DnD. Didn't think I find enthusiasts of the game in UP, lol.
How long have you guys been into these things? |

Well, I've only picked up D&D when I joined the org. I've played Magic TCG during highschool, stopped for a while, then played again during college, though I only play for casual games.
I used to have a Pokemon deck, though I don't remember where it is now. It didn't quite got popular when I was in high school as it was sort of expensive compared to Magic.
IIRC DotA and warcraft count as hobbygames, though let's discuss that some other time
You should try gaming with others for a D&D session, I believe there should have been a D&D campaign for applicants to be run by the secgen himself, as it was a requirement for some members for the sig sheet. I do hope you get to play.

As a matter of fact, we do have a DnD game on Monday. juaberman's gamesmaster, and he's organizing the campaign and everything.
Problem is, I don't have a character yet. juaberman's supposed to help me make one, but I haven't seen since the other day. He did say I could be a wizard, lol. Don't know how I'm going to work that out.
May I know your actual names, guys? Maybe I've seen you around in the tambayan already. I'd also like to know who else is who here.

Let me start by saying that, while offering your RL (real life) name is cool, that referring to others by their RL name is considered bad form here. This is the Interwebs, and certain people would want to keep their anonymity.

PS. Hello! I'm one of the stricter moderators, by the way. Name's BJ, an alumni... And that's totally not my RL name/nickname. Nope. Ah, welcome wyrmling. The Binder is here to bid you welcome to our humble abode in the internet. May you mature in mind as well as body during your stay here in the message boards and with the org in general. Hope you get to enjoy M:tG as much as a lot of us in the org do.
As for D&D, been playing it since I joined the org but I've known about it's existence since I was a wee lad (I have the AD&D Monster Manual and Dungeon Master's Guide locked up somewhere in my library).
