Alternative Classroom Experience
1st semester, AY 2009-2010

THE THEME:
The theme for this semester's Alternative Classroom Learning Experience is Never
Enough: No Limits. No Boundaries. The theme calls for every Iskolar ng Bayan to
go beyond the extra mile in asserting his/ her rights and freedoms and in
showcasing the talents and skills which are unique to every UP student. The
theme highlights the characteristics of UP students as individuals who never
settle for anything less and mediocre. It underscores the need for everyone to
destroy apathy and complacency and be involved and dynamic with regard to
pressing issues that confront our university and our people. It calls for the
continuous development of our capabilities as future stewards of the nation.
While the theme calls for UP students to constantly step up and push the
envelope, it also challenges them to be innovative in answering the question:
what change do we really need?

REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERESTED ORGANIZATIONS:

a proposal letter including a short profile and background of the organization,
information about the topic of choice and an outline of the ACLE activity

a soft copy of the organization's logo to be uploaded at
www.yahoogroups.com/groups/edres09 Files section

*the General Education book was added to the list of requirements in support of
the University Student Council's project of lending books for free to our less
fortunate fellow students. The list of suggested books will be released soon.

Organizations that wish to join the search for this semester's most accomplished
ACLE are required to present an accomplishment report which includes a
documentation of how well the event went. Please stand by for more details.

August 10- Deadline for the submission of all material requirements and
certificates of attendance to the USC Student Summit and one educational

Yup...and now I really have to get ready for this one too. So what do I need to do here, and same for m'am Anna?

Actually, we need to do research on the worlds of existence in M:tG and DnD. Phil already said that he can actually go for the DnD part. I am actually thinking on inviting BJ on imparting what he knows on the M:tG part. We are also to do our own little research.

We have to coordinate with Ma'am Anna so that whatever input we have will be parallel to what she workshops on.

Why don't we discuss HGC's very own Bonethrall setting as an example?

Correct me if I'm wrong on these:

To Do:
-A more detailed outline for the presentation (co AAS). Planned divisions include:
*Intro to the concept of game worlds
*Game worlds in D&D, M:TG, nWoD, etc
*World Building (co M'am Sanchez)
*World effects in game (flavor and mechanics
*Worldbuilding Workshop
-A powerpoint presentation for the lecture part
-Time allotment breakdown
-pimp the ACLE through posters and talking to profs and classes.
-Find a room that can accomodate 30-50 people, since it looks like we can get profs to require/encourage participation.

* The ACRES will act as a CRS for the ACLE. It is an enlistment system for the students. Please be patient with your requests. and follow the proper format when sending to help us logistically.

Note: When you change your venue, it's the org's initiative to disseminate the information that you've changed venue

Okay, reading through the outline right now. The thing is, right now, this is "our" part of the outline, right? Isn't m'am Anna also asking for input on what we want her part to be, roughly, as well as how it integrates into our bit?

I'm willing, but well, I'm not sure if I'd be able to give what necessary info is needed. Plus, my mind will be hyperactive again with a lot of mixed information.

I'd be able to do better on introduction. On the details, I'm not so sure.
