HGC: This thread functions as con-ass for our organization, something that we have been sleeping on for a LOOOOOONGG time. Please note that some changes in the constitution have been made, particularly in Article 1 section 2, Scope, and the Officers have also been redefined to let it cope with the current org. size.
*I will upload the constitution on the groups, given the time. At the moment, I do not have the soft copy.*
It is of note that I included a blank article on Violations and Equivalent Punishments. This is just a tentative title to the section, and suggestions are encouraged. Note that this section is essential. Please duly discuss this and other issues on the constitution here.
The thread is now open to constitutional discussion and proposals. |

Amendments include the following:
Article 1 Section 2: Scope
Article 1 Section 3: Domicile
Article 2 Section 1.b. Organization Objectives
Article 5 Section 2 of the Executive Council
Article 6 Section 1. c and 1.h on the Secretary General under the Members of the Executive Council
Article 6 Section 3: Officers-in-Charge is a major overhaul of the previous article on Committee Heads, catering to the organization's current size and functionality. It is also a solution to committees always lacking members, as the article implies dissolution of all committees other than the Executive Council. The Executive Council is now composed of the Secretary General, the Asst. Secretary General, and the Officers in charge.
I am contemplating on having a section for Officers-in-Delegation, officers assigned for specific tasks like supervising an activity, etc.
In general, any reference to committee heads have been changed to officers-in-charge.
Article 7 is blank, and I still have issues with the title myself. I believe it is what the constitution lacks. |

In the old Consti:
Article 1, Section 2.: Scope
The UP Hobby Gamers’ Circle is a student organization that caters to the interests of students who are into hobby gaming by hosting on-campus tournaments, role-playing sessions, and participating in off-campus events that promote hobby gaming.
I think the bold part should still be included in the new one.
Article 1, Section 3: Okay.
Article 2 Section 1.b. Organization Objectives: Okay.
Article 5 Section 2: Okay.
Article 6 Section 1. c and 1.h Okay.
Article 6 Section 3: okay.
For Article 7, Disciplinary Actions can be used as a title. It should be categorized based on the weight of the offense, major, intermediary, minor
IMO:
Major Offenses includes relinquishing responsibilities, usurpation of funds, abuse of authority, stealing, physical harm on another member, sexual abuse such violations are subject to trial under the executive committee wherein the accused has the opportunity to defend himself, if proven guilty based on documentation and the rightful judgment of the executive committee the member is subject to expulsion or relinquishment of membership and can no longer apply for future applications.
Intermediary Offenses includes civil disobedience, gambling on school grounds, oral defamation, cheating in organizational events, non-participation in organizational events without proper reason, skipping classes. Accused is to be consulted by the executive committee and would be disciplined via a maximum of two weeks restriction from the tambayan, suspension of org benefits etc etc
Minor Offenses includes littering, non-attendance of general assemblies,
continuous tardiness in org assemblies, unruly behavior, vandalism are subject to fines and other minor disciplinary actions based on the judgment of the OIC of Internal Affairs.
*Fines are to be determined via votation wherein 2/3 of the majority should agree. |
