An invite I got for HGC:

Ooooh. I saw their booth in Ozine 09. They were playing Ben 10 CCG and that CCG game with Rambo and stuff [lol]. I would like to go, but I have exams every Monday and I need to study. Ugh.

Heads up for the Externals people. This could be damned useful, contacts wise. Also, somebody try to get in touch with Q. He might find it interesting on the CCG organizing end.

So, do we have anybody going as an org rep?

I'm thinking of going but I'd rather not go alone. Anyone else coming?

If I'm back at UP on or before saturday then I might see if I can go.

Revan is right, it's an important meeting.

Most of the guys are not good with Saturday, we've discussed that in the tambayan. Not even juaberman nor don5.

If you could do it Q, pls do so. I'd like to accompany you but I have work then. Try convincing other guys with you, or even a friend/relative if you really want someone to go with, just pls go.

Still not sure whether I can go. Depends on how early the FNM ends tomorrow. But can anyone give directions on how to go there from EDSA or LRT?

Meeting bulletpoints:

*The main objective of PUGS is to organize disparate groups of gamers into a unified whole, making it easier to gain the attention of distributors, sponsors and businesses.
*PUGS will also offer assistance to members in organizing events: setting up sponsors, locating venues, provide chairs and tables, and, if necessary, provide prize support for tourneys. However, the actual manpower will have to be provided by the org. Basically, they'll take care of the business aspect of organizing an event and we'll take care of the actual event (hauling stuff, rules management etc.)
*There's an annual PhP 500 membership fee, or an installment payment of PhP 100 per month for six months.
*PUGS members are called Contenders. Each Contender has a ELO ranking for each CCG based on his matches with other Contenders. The contender ranking will only be activated once 100 people have signed up and paid. So, not yet. There is also an organizational structure:
- Ronin: A single Contender without any affiliation. They do not get any say in the organization of PUGS events and general direction. They still keep their Contender rankings.
- Cell: A unit composed of 2-8 contenders. Each Cell has one Captain, who has one vote in the meetings. Cells also have a sigil. When one Cell defeats another in competition, they get the sigil of the losing cell.
- Clan: 2-8 Cells.
- Tribe: 2-8 Clans.
*PUGS has some events lined up for May-August including the Summer and August Comic Con and others.

*The PUGS guys are very willing to discuss the organization with the org in a GA. They're also willing to aid us in our recruitment next sem by virtue of tie-ins with them and the OGM. Also, if possible, they want to advertise themselves here on the boards -- maybe the Goderator or someone else can take care of it.

Q, I recommended you to be the Magic tourney organizer. Have you read their email yet? They'll provide the prize support and the logistics, they need your expertise, though. Look for the judges as well.
