Vrahn is intelligent enough to avoid fighting battles he could probably lose, I think.

I'll finish the flavor first, the Pharagos DMs don't want me to post the actual stats, eh...

DM's! Post interesting NPC's here. I'm mostly focusing on the development of Arcanian personalities, but it would be nice to have Alderaac, Silver Dragon, or even Lyseans posted here... Anyways, I'm working on a more detailed back story for Vrahn, so it'll be awhile before I post here again...

I'm not one of your DMs, but I'd like to suggest something. Can't Arcania (or whatever the arcane-based settlement is) have Red Wizards? Y'know, those magic geeks that cast powerful magics in their Spell Circles. I developed a city in my campaign world Kat'ha, and it's the bomb! Ever had a lvl-9 chained flesh to stone cast at caster level 40? One of the PCs pissed off the emperor, and BAM! The entire party became garden decors - save for the paladin, who later managed to talk the emperor into reversing the spell. Twisted Evil

EDIT: I just have to add that the emperor in question was only ECL 20 with no templates. Of course, he had a bunch of ECL 18s (likewise no templates) for his Circle Members, but that's another story...

Most of Arcanians are sorcerers, if i am not mistaken. I doubt they will have high level wizards other than Vronn.

Yup... Arcania is based on sorcerous bloodline. Until recently, Wizards were not eligible for citizenship. And even now, book magic is frowned upon in Arcania as inferior to the natural spellcasting inherent in ones bloodline.

I, ahh, I would, except my builds kindof suck. Also, my players have access to this forum, so you know... don't wanna ruin the surprise is the thing XD

EDIT: W-ell... there is one homebrew that I'm kinda proud of. BJ helped me out a bit with this one. Granted, it's a low-level threat, but it downed 2 full hp characters in 2 consecutive rounds, which made for a pretty interesting level 1 boss fight XD

Improved Init helps to get first strike on flat-footed targets. Go into rage, charge, sneak attack while they're flat, then later on ask for help from some orc buddies. Average 17 damage w/ rage and sneak attack, which should down most ECL 1 PC's and at least severely damage those at ECL 2.

it's ok. I don't necessarily discourage powergaming; if they can find a way to make uber-storng characters, props to them. XD

And maybe you mean optimized characters and not power gamed characters? Smile
