So, yeah, I'm here to formally ask permission to run a 4e PBP demo game for some of my non-UP gamer friends who are interested in trying out D&D 4th Edition.

We were brainstorming how to run the game, and decided that a forum-based game would be most feasible for the players. We went through all the forums we're members of, and that are available online, and decided that HGC's PBP forums would be the best fit.

So the proposal is, I'll be the DM, and 3 of my friends will join the boards so they can play. Since this is just gonna be a demo game, there'll be minimum story, and will probably end after 1 encounter. If they enjoy it, then we might continue it, start a new campaign here (or elsewhere on the intertubes) or play it offline.

Is this good with you guys?

This should be in the meta-forum.

And as said, you only need COPAL permission to run a BT game. But since that Campaign Setting is incomplete, I suggest you use an existing one (FR is best, as it has 4e support).

Ask the goderator if you want to run a non-BT campaign here.
