I think he meant that it wasn't really dead as it was gone, it's just that not so many are playing this days IMO.

Our friend Elou here has supplied us with much fun in GameCrab. With his games, I managed to at least fill in my void on D&D Minis. My brother and I just started playing them weeks ago. And the plus part is, we also use the minis to represent our characters in the RPG.
Although, I'm still looking for a few items. I'll look for the appropriate thread to ask it in.
