Here's some recent news from Blizzcon
- Starcraft 2 will be split into 3 games, 1 game will focus on each race's campaign, with the 1st one being the Terran campaign and Zerg then Protoss campaigns following later within the next few years.
- Blizzard promises that each campaign is as long as the last game plus Brood Wars (around 26-30 missions per campaign) and that each campaign is played differently (Terrans have more FMVs, Zerg has RPG elements, Protoss has diplomacy, etc.)
- No you don't need all 3 games to play multiplayer. You still get to choose to play as any of them in multiplayer.
- Still unknown how much each individual game will cost, considering they're chopping down 1 whole game into 3 separate ones.
- Some features in Battle.net may now require a monthly fee. |
