Barbarian looks almost like Hulk there.
And I'm liking Witch Doctor, kinda like Necromancer without the summons.

My wild guess is it's one of the Angels from Diablo 2 gone rogue.

New class for Diablo 3 announced at Blizzcon: The Wizard.
Ya it sounds redundant but Blizzard's backstory for the wizard (and how they differ from the mage & sorceress aside from the ability to pick your gender at character creation) is that these "wizards" are young spellcasters who chafe at the regimented & disciplined life & study of their orders/schools & want a quick route to magic power. Other spellcasters look down upon them as reckless at best & about as impulsive as Superboy-Prime at worst. They got some cool spells though like Disintegrate (w/c works as a focused beam that you hold down the mouse button while you mow down enemies with it) & Time Bubble (slows down enemies AND projectiles as they enter the bubble). If I can post links here I'd post them.
By the way, the male Barbarian in Diablo 3 is the same Barbarian from Diablo 2, he's apparently the only sane survivor of Diablo 2, the other classes are all either dead or too insane to be playable. |

Cool, you get to choose your gender. I hated to play the assassin before becuase it's model was a girl. I wanted to play a manly assassin. Why didn't blizzards think of that in Diablo 2.

What do you mean by this? All classes or or all characters?
If I'm not mistaken, the d2 barbarian is the same barbarian in d3 character-wise.
And I don't really see big difference between d1 sorcerer, d2 sorceress, and d3 wizard.

I think flavor-wise all the other characters in D2 got knocked-off to explain why they won't be coming to D3.

And at Blizzcon this year, a new class: The Monk!
Huh. The character design looks like Buddhist/Shinto monks.
But he deflects fireballs... USING HIS FACE!
And he makes people's hearts explode!
He has the Assassin's combo system, except that it works a bit differently... He can combo up to three 3 skills, and certain skills work differently when used as the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd skill in a combo.
Oh, and I heard news that the Paladin will be back in Diablo 3... but not as a playable character...

I'm not sure if this is credible, but I've read in another forums that character skills and spells are no longer customizable; sort of like Diablo 1.
To make yourself sort of unique, you have to rely on items.

Rumor states that, similar to Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 will not have LAN support, but instead only allow Battle.Net for multiplayer. And the Multiplayer will not have PVP.
