Olwyn Zilwersmitt is the kindest, prettiest dwarven girl ever. These are not desirable traits for people who live most of their lives toiling underground and in the darkness. Her chubby cheeks, muscular arms, and long, flowing beard make her absolutely irresistible to the average dwarven male - and even other non-dwarf males find themselves drawn to her, without the 4 drink minimum it usually takes to be attracted to a dwarf. She is too nice to tell them to let her be. In fact, Olwyn is too nice to the world in general.

She somehow found a godstone held by a bunch of hippy-dippy peaceniks who want to protect the puppies, the flowers, the rainbows, and all the other nice pretty things that don't stand a chance in the harsh world of Bonethrall, and she became their first dwarven paladin.

Even in combat, Olwyn focuses on protecting her allies rather than hurting her enemies. But this doesn't mean she's a pushover - all the years of unwanted attention and envy from other female dwarves has caused her to be ridiculously tough and anybody who harms her friends, or god forbid any puppies, will get a face full of angry dwarf.

Definitely not stereotypical. Sword+dwarf, and the whole female beard thing. Awesome.

Oh, yeah, about the sword:

While growing up, Olwyn was spoiled rotten by her parents and 23 older brothers and sisters. She thus never did enough training with the ancestral axes and warhammers that every Dwarf grows up with to be comfortable with them.

Shortly after joining the Order for the Protection Of All Things Squishy, somebody made a joke to her about all paladins being required to use longswords, and while she only took it seriously at first, by the time she realized it was just a joke she had already gotten used to it.

Whoot! Level 2!!

1. Exp increases (Number on my sheet, I don't have it now -I think it was 175 starting XP + 902 session XP, for a total of 1077 XP)
2. This would increase most modifiers, and give me +6 HP (Paladin).
3. New Feat: Toughness. +5 HP!
4. Utility Power Added: Martyr's Blessing
5. Power Retraining: Replacing Radiant Smite with Piercing Smite.
6. I forgot how much GP I had at the end.

Corrections:
*Fort, Ref, Will should be 15, 14, 15 respectively. Surges per day should stay at 12. Mod+abi value usually only applies to the Core mechanic.

More corrections:
*I'm pretty sure your longsword basic is at +7, not +8. +4(str)+3(prof). Throwing Hammer should likewise be +6. Powers follow suit.
*You finished your major quest, so your xp is actually 1227.
*Lay on Hands remains at 2/day (wis based)
*Martyr's Blessing is a Daily utility; change the text to black.
*Damage values remain the same.
*Gold according to your sheet is 44.

08/07/08: Link to master sheet.

Updated. Cross-reference for inconsistencies.

It looks like I went overboard on the level modifier. I thought it boosted EVERYTHING. Embarassed

Also, I decided to color my utility powers Gray. Is that okay?

BTW: I'm wielding a Heavy Shield, so my Armor Check Penalty is -2, not -1...

Hmm. Does my Endurance skill also reflect the +1 Bonus equal to enhancement coming from the Dwarven Armor?

Bonus question: Does the Armor Check Penalty from both the Heavy Shield and the Plate Armor Stack?

Yup, it's a plus 1. And if my net ACP is a +4, I may consider dropping the Heavy Shield...

You can always unburden your shield before you make a check. (Just a reminder.)

iirc, Heavy shields take awhile to remove. Razz And I think the Heavy Shield is a good increase to both AC and Reflex, so I advice against dropping it.

Edited master sheet.

The light shield still gives me +1 to both Reflex and AC, and at this point losing a +1 to both is not as painful as a net -4 to skills...

Interesting. I'm relieved to have you as a player; you care more about skills than you do AC, for once. In any case you make a valid point; you'll need to up the points for your skill challenges.

It's the d10 player in me screaming "ARGH -4 TO A CRAPLOAD OF SKEELZ OH NOES THE DM IS EVIL AND WILL GIVE LIFE OR DEATH SITUATIONS BASED ON THOSE SKEELZ".

I mean, that's what I would do as a GM if a player gives me such a nice, big target to shoot at. Razz

Meh. I don't shoot at weak spots on purpose unless the player is out of line (and even then i will talk to that player first). Thankfully, all of you have been behaved so far. XD

I'm switching to light shield from heavy shield, so dropping my AC and Reflexes by 1, and my Armor Check Penalty goes from -4 to -2.
