A lot of people play DotA. Some of them are even reasonably good at playing it. I, however, am not one of them.

I am moderately skilled in playing PC games. I can tangle with the best of them in CS, Starcraft, Medal of Honor, Half-Life, or even Rainbow Six. However, I failed to jump on the DotA band wagon. I foolishly dismissed it as a fad, something that will never gain popularity.

I was wrong.

I am at a point in my life where my pride will not let me get my head pwned by effing 10 year-olds who never played Beta 5 CS. I refuse to be beaten by someone who doesn't even know that Warcraft used to have only 2 races.

As such, I am expanding this thread to include this arena-style map. It's really fun to play with although it's a far cry to what DotA has evolved to. Please give this game a shot.

I've played with a Cold Sorceress several times and man is she good at farming. However, I think that for maximum pwnage you should play as a Barbarian. The Improved Crit+Leap Attack is seriously scary. Here's the link to download the map.

The Diablo monsters need some serious nerfing.

Gah! Typo! From me! The Horror! Talking! Like Shatner!

I just saw a newer version. I'll try it out at home when I have the time. Here's the link.

My bad. I'll try to find that version online that does work. Lightning sorceress rocks! Fatal chain lightning into 15 (FIFTEEN!) creeps! Boo-yah! Ulti sucks hard but good for early game.

Almost the same as diablo, except you pick heroes at start, then fight monsters all over the map just to level up.
Most points (you get one when you kill monsters, more if they are special/bosses) wins.

I thought it was like DotA where you pick sides either with the heroes' side or diablo's side. Sad Sad Sad

with multiplayer, it's like FFA, but with up to 6 teams of two players each. you start with 1k points, first to 2k wins. killing 1 creep is 1 pt, 1 boss monster is 150 pts, PCs are like 100 pts or something, not sure. When you die, you lose 30 pts. boss monsters are unebelievably strong.
