Requesting the DM to bring PH2 on game day.
I might use a spell there. _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

Some things you just can't plan...
Me: You see a wall with strange markings that kind of look like words. What do you do?
Them: We destroy the wall.
Though I admit I was overwhelmed by this DMing thing. Improvisation isn't exactly a class skill for me.[/b] _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

You didn't expect that? IMO, they're starting to turn predictable. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

If you'd like I would like to be your assistant/co-DM in this campaign. I've DM'd (technically) 3 campaigns, so I have some experience, but still a newbie compared to our all-star cast.
I might have figured out what your problem is. _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

@erwin: Thanks, I really need the help.
btw, if anyone else wants to DM, just give me a heads-up.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On second thought, free-form adventuring inevitably (in this campaign) leads to unprepared, impromptu quests. So, to simplify some of the things I have to prepare, here are some quests for Wed. Just post before Tuesday what path you want to pursue.
Quest Options:
(1) Appraise the Golden Orb from the mines. While you did manage to solve the wight problem of the mining town, you left some things unsolved. Namely, what caused the disappearances in the area? And, more importantly, what caused the mass rising of the dead in the cemetery? You guys know that the orb was what the undead were after. Maybe you should have someone versed in the arcane look at it?
(2) Discover the meaning of the broken inscription. Thankfully, someone picked up a piece of the inscription from the broken and pulverized stone wall. As with (1), maybe someone can figure out what it means.
(3) Find a new client. Let's face it: the first client's reward (100 gp) was hardly overwhelming. And, while it lead to a solid sphere of gold, you got more dead weight in your party, as the client tagged along with you guys. Returning to HQ and checking out some new, more affluent clients may help solve your money woes. (I'd advise this path to those who want more combat and less RP)
(4) Find a new organization. While the Freyheit are a decent operation, maybe something else draws you guys. Want to join the ranks of the distinguished Knights Laesterre? Or did you want to join the various tribes of the Keltzerei? Monastery, druidic order, mercantile organization: name it, I can probably make the affiliation. You can also always join a baking organization dedicated to discovering the ultimate pastry (it even has its own PrC!). _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

Note
I'm using UA's experience variant. Those who don't have a copy of it, just ask me at the tambayan for the XP for table.
ECL 8s start out with 44,000 XP.
I just recalculated the XP: Everyone gains 17,280 XP. (All chars level-up. LA+3 characters double level-up) _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

I remember the same incident with the puzzles that phil gave us where we used an instantaneous fortress as a battering ram hell that was cool!!!!!! _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

I remember this one _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:
"Whether it is true or not, all sorcerers seem to act as if their power is inexhaustible. It really annoys the prepared casters."
A druid on rogue:
"Foolish girl! I am a Druid, I have special abilities more powerful than your entire class!" |
