Note that Dimples the dead Acanthus is distinct from Dimples, the Senior Moros Mage.

The dead one was a happy-go-lucky junior, never once frowning in the face of adversity.

The live one is a rich-ass, gorgeous senior who is currently too busy with her thesis to be an active member of the Senior Council of Seven.

Chapter 0 (Prelude) : The Coming of the Beast
Short prelude chapter introducing the character of Beast, who has been sent to inspect, monitor, and assess the Junior Council of Seven.

Chapter 1: The Inspector
The mysterious suicide of Dimples, a member of the Junior Council of Seven leaves the inner circle of Epsilon Alpha in disarray. Upon closer inspection with Mage Sight, Dimples' body bears a faint resonance of the Mind Arcana where there should be none. The suicide may have been induced.

Police begin to investigate the suicide and question the Council of Seven, who appear to have concealed their "unusual natures" and less than legal possessions from the gaze of an unusually persistent Inspector. Through a combination of subtle illusions, manipulation, fast-talking and outright lying, the Council appears to have sent the Inspector off empty handed.

With the immediate threat defused, the Council can now focus on their own investigation using arcane means.

Possible paths of action:
-Investigate Dimples' background. Nobody had expected the ever-smiling Dimples would commit suicide. Why did he do it? And could he have been manipulated into it? And why was he always so freaking happy?

-Investigate Dimples' new girlfriend, a young Engineering student known only as Raven. The Council member had only been newly acquainted with her, and was quite smitten. A long shot, but could there be a connection?

-Consult with Dimples the Elder, a Moros Senior who taught Samael advanced applications of the Mind Arcana. Samael intends to bring up the lingering resonance of the Mind Arcanum that was present on Dimples the Younger's corpse. Also, the fact that the Elder and Junior both share the same Shadow Name is interesting. Could the Junior Dimples have unwittingly suffered the effects of a sympathetic spell targeted at the Senior Dimples?

-Observe the Inspector. For a Sleeper, he's been persistent. Perhaps too persistent. Use Mage Sight to determine possible magical influences or traits.

Random Storyteller ramblings
1dot: Initiate
A character with one dot in the mind arcanum, for example. is called a mind initiate
With one dot in an arcanum, an initiate can:
*Gain mystical knowledge about and understanding of phenomena within Arcanum's purview. This is called the Practice of Knowing.
*Elementary manipulation of phenomena within the Arcanum's purview, enough to activate them and/or impart directions. This is called the practice of Compelling
*Gain sensory perception of phenomena within the Arcanum's purview. Called the Practice of Unveiling
2dots: Apprentice
With two dots in an arcanum, an initiate can:
*Exert elementary command and control over the phenomena within the purview of the Arcanum. Called the practice of Ruling
*Conceal, camouflage or hide phenomena within the Arcanum's purview from scrutiny. Called the Practice of Veiling.
*Protect a target from attacks, usually by providing points of armor. Called the Practice of Shielding.

Example. When asked if they can change the tass marijuana into something else to hide it, the Storyteller agrees that a Life Apprentice can use the Practice of Veiling to do so. Eventually, it is seen that an improvisation of an existing spell works (given above).

Chapter 2

The Council goes to Dimples' wake. With some assistance from Beast, the cabal is able to create a diversion, allowing them to use the Death Arcanum to gather more information from Dimples' corpse. The cabalist was definitely murdered, but by who?

The Cabal splits up to investigate matters further. Devilgrass investigates Dimples' background, but is stumped. He finds interesting information concerning Dimples' family, but of little direct use. Sonnet, (Nina), and (Jaykie) investigate Dimples' home, but have a disastrous encounter with two policemen sent to keep watch over the slain man's house. (Jaykie) is eventually forced to "play dead" using the Death Arcana in order to scare the :consored: out of the police.

Samael and Beast do a B&E into Palma Hall at night in order to investigate the crime scene with Mage Sight. There, they find a tear in the Gauntlet, as well as what appears to be Dimples' murderer: an Abyss-spawned Paradox Doppelganger. Beast delays the Doppleganger and orders Samael to flee with the information. As Samael flees Palma Hall, he is stopped by the Inspector. A fight occurs which nearly turns disastrous for Samael. Weakened by Paradox, the cabalist eventually strikes down the officer and flees with Beast.

All in all, the night was FUBAR incarnate for the Council of Seven. The Concilium has noticed the vulgar displays of magic surrounding these incident, and the Guardians of the Veil have been called in order to repair these potential breaches of the Lex Magica. The Council appears to have found out what lies at the bottom of the murder mystery, but now, they may have to face the wrath of the Concilium.

Lingering Questions:
-We now know what happened to Dimples, but we don't know why. What was Dimples trying to do when Paradox struck him down?
-Uninvestigated connection: Raven, Dimples' new girlfriend.

Samael's RP interlude:

-Wednesday afternoon, CHK & Vanguard Hall.
Samael encounters a senior member of the Adamantine Arrows who goes by the Shadow Name of Spartacus (imagine 300's King Leonidas wearing biker leathers). They engage in a sparring/training match that combines martial and magical prowess. Spartacus clearly has the upper hand, and takes the opportunity to enlighten Samael on some of the finer points of Adamantine Arrow melee tactics. Samael's stubborn pride/tenacity impresses Spartacus, even as it almost gets the junior Arrow killed.

-end interlude story (Samael still plays a supporting role in Sonnet's interlude, but that's up to Aur Ain Soph to detail)
Game Notes:
-Potence. Use Potence. Potence works. Any passive buff cast should definitely be supported with potence if at all possible.
-Cast Mage Armor spells as rituals to make buffing Potence easier. Use Mana points to allow Mage Armor to last the whole day.
-Adaptability is strength. Must learn other means of indirect attack.

Sonnet's RP Interlude:

Sonnet, shaken and frustrated over the mess of the night before, decides to temporarily setup camp in the much more secure frat house. On the way, she runs into the inspector and chats with him over seemingly mundane things. She cannot help but feel though that the inspector is watching her every move and the urge for her to actually go and learn a destructive spell to use on the good inspector has been steadily increasing.

She enters the frat house in time to see Spartacus leaving and learns that he was responsible for the bloody lump that was Samael. This does not surprise her. It happens to Samael all the time. She meets up with Beast, informing him of her intent and meets up with the Elder Dimples for the first time. She finds herself being lead to the elusive 22nd floor which no male has ever been able to find.

Upon securing a room for herself, she once more goes to Beast in order to be able to better assess the knowledge gained from the night before. She receives a letter from the Mysterium giving her details on the rift and the kind of creature that had been summoned by the paradox as well as orders to capture it if able.

Before retiring to her room to study the paper, she gathers the most annoying sycophants she could find and sends them to Samael's way to annoy him. The stress produced by fear of both Samael and Sonnet proves too much for one neophyte who then finds himself before a Watchtower, becoming the first of the neophytes to awaken, effectively making him a member of the next council.

Being given a goal, she now attempts to do research as to the best way to capture a Doppelganger though she has also taken the time to learn Misperception to better protect herself now that it is evident that things were becoming more dangerous now.

Lines of Inquiry
-If Dimples was killed by a mage was the vendetta personal or against the Cabal?
-The mage would either have to be very powerful or in a position to be able to get close to Dimples which might make him/her a student. Is there a way to narrow this down?
-How do you subdue a Doppelganger?

Chapter 3: Mud and Booze, Part 1

Chapter 3 opens with a Guardians of the Veil Interfector arriving at the doorstep of the Council of Seven cabal, threatening punishment on the cabal for their infractions, witting and unwitting, of the secrecy clauses of the Lex Magica and local Consilium ordinances. About the only thing that seems to prevent serious repercussions is Dimples the Elder's apparent connection to the Interfector (big brother?). As punishment, the Cabal is charged with hunting down Dimples' murderer, as well as dealing with the Paradox Doppleganger. The Doppleganger in question also appears to have a Wrath Resonance surrounding it, allowing it to feed off of the recent upsurge in frat violence in WoD UP Diliman. Also to be investigated is the enigmatic Raven.

Dimples Senior chastises the junior Council for not taking advantage of the assistance that the AE sorority can provide, and invites the Council to a concert against frat violence that the AE is sponsoring as a goodwill gesture. Raven is sure to be there, and if the party succeeds, then perhaps the levels of anger and wrath Essence surrounding the campus in recent memory might be dispersed.

The party is a success. Inspector Mariano is there, nosy as usual. Raven is the center of attention, and while River Coins attempts to attract her attention on the dance floor, Samael recons the girl and the place with the Third Eye and Aura Sight. Raven appears to be under the influence of a Mind Arcana spell, possibly a compulsion or possession, and is also being observed/manipulated through a scrying window. Samael is able to memorize the qualities of the caster's Resonance even as the controlling Magus recognizes the Arcane scrutiny surrounding her and shuts down the scrying window. Samael reads the traces left behind by the spell and concludes that the caster was inside the corporate offices of Jollibee at the time.

River Coins succeeds in seducing Raven and makes love to her, while Raja watches the show from a scrying window. In the middle of the act, the unknown magus resumes her scrye/manipulation MO on Raven, forcing Raja to break off his scrying in order to preserve secrecy. River Coins senses the change, and also feels the unknown magus attempting to manipulate him. He makes an escape from the motel, and stops to consider his options.

Meanwhile Samael examines the pictures of Raven taken during the party and encounters a discrepancy. Everyone perceives Raven as a hot young Engineering chick. The pictures show her to be a woman in her late 30's, with absolutely no resemblance to the "visible" Raven at all. "Visible" Raven is Fil-Am mestiza. The one on the picture is a Chinita.

Chapter 3: Mud and Booze, Part 2

Raja, accompanied by Jackal and Sonnet, pays a visit to Bertud ng Putik. There the group was attacked by three vampires, who they managed to fend off in the end. Afterwards the Mud Sorcerer appeared as if out of nowhere, and Raja decided to open up negotiations. He told his companions to step aside while he had a private conversation.

Apparently a deal had been struck.

The party then returns to the frat house, and their penchant for splitting up from the rest of the cabal is discussed. Other than that they just rest for the night.

In the morning they see Raven being arrested right outside the frat house. But suddenly, Inspector Mariano gets chased by a mud monster. It swallows him up, and he disappears. Raven runs away and is consoled by Devilgrass and Rivercoins. They take her back to the frat house, and the cabal decides to investigate the wrath spirit later in the night.

As the cabal sets out, they are suddenly stopped by Inspector Mariano. After closer inspection, the mages realize he has actually been turned into a vampire. The mages then convince him to share the details he'd discovered in the Dimples murder case. His most important piece of information comes in the form of Dimples' arcane journal, which Raja quickly inspects.

After getting down all the important parts, the journal crumbles into dust in his hands.

"What are you doing?!" asked Samael. "You just destroyed an important piece of evidence!"
"I'm a guardian of the Veil, mate. That's my job," replied Raja.

Not much else was said that night. Frustrated at Raja's actions the cabal returns to the frat house to check up on Devilgrass and Raven.

Chapter 4: Don Arevalo (Did I get that right? 1 "L" or 2?)

(Going bullet-point format right now, it's kind of late, and I've got other projects in mind).

-Samael, Sonnet, and Devilgrass scheme to undo Raja's meddling.

-Jackal takes out his pent-up aggression on a neophyte. This triggers a supernatural earthquake, as the Wrath-Essence created by this act echoes with the ambient Wrath-Resonance that permeates UP vis-a-vis recent rumbles and violence. This earthquake and the blatant (craziness? insert expletive of your choice) of this act almost sends Beast into a Death Rage.

-Diliman rumor mill: During recent outbreaks of frat violence, witnesses have reported seeing an apparition of Dimples the Idiot grinning maniacally and watching the scene. The Wrath-Doppleganger is gaining strength. We must pursue tie-ups with AE to prevent further explosions of violence and dissipate the gathered Wrath Resonance on campus. This will require a feat of social engineering that would be impossible to do with raw magic alone.

-Dimples the Witch hires members of the Junior Council as bodyguards for her upcoming business venture, a tie-in with Jolibee in the low-cost food market. This tie-up is being managed by Janet Mercado (apparently, the magus seen manipulating Raven). While initially skeptical, the group realizes the possibility the job offers, and takes it up. First however, they must be presented to Don Arevalo, Dimples' father.

-Dimples puts on the "Daddy's Little Girl" facade for her drug lord father. Don Arevalo asks for a demonstration of skill, and the Council complies. They're hired.

Chapter 5: The Insect's Throne

-The Council thwarts an attempt on the life of "Tik-tik Baba", USC Chair and Thyrsus magus.

-As bodyguards, the Council escorts Dimples the Witch to a meeting with the enigmatic Janet Mercado, a Seer of the Throne. Challenges are issued, and a time and place for a duel are set.

-Raja deals with Janet by apprenticing himself to a Tremere in exchange for her death. The Tremere obliges.

Epilogue

-The Council goes to a truce signing sponsored by the USC. With Raja's assistance, they attract the Wrath-spirit, and a brawl ensues. After a few close calls, Devilgrass was able to bring Raven to the fray, using her to trigger the spirit's Ban. The Wrath-spirit is contained, and Raven awakens to the Thyrsus watchtower.

-Raja attempts to steal the spirit bottle, but is confounded by the Interfector, who castigates him for his failure of the test of the Black Veil. Raja is expelled from the Order, and barely manages to escape.

sorry i posted this on a wrong page. dapat pala reply lang sa original thread.

Increased gnosis = New dots x8. It takes a while, but ultimately it's rewarding to have a higher gnosis. More mana can be spent per turn, Ritual spells' casting times are shorter, bigger dice pools for spells...

you do have to contend with a higher chance for paradox, though.

Personally, I'm saving the Mariachi's xp for higher arcana dots, then get to gnosis3, then raise one arcanum to five dots, then increase attributes/skills like crazy. Gnosis 4 is very, very far away for me.

I think Revan is going for a more gnosis based approach. I'm not sure, though.

Ultimately, the thing you have to avoid in WoD is wanton xp-spending, methinks. Have an xp-expenditure plan, and stick to it.

Revan's mini-arc, Chapter1

We are introduced to two more senior council members, the wily, guitar-toting El Mariachi, and his cousin, the tough, quick to anger but easy to tame El Machete.

The story opens up with news of Janet Mercado's death by firebomb. Mostly uninterested, EA went on with their usual business; neophytes were bullied, El Mariachi desperately attempts to teach new neophyte Raven to play the guitar, El Machete scares off two neophytes attempting to get some of Devilgrass's weed...

Then the doorbell rings, bringing along someone who looks strangely like Samael. Case in point, the stranger did indeed introduce himself as Samael Lightbringer, who turned out to be the younger brother of the council member who shares his name and appearance.

Lightbringer and his companion, a young Jap lady, were invited in. The former declares that he is sent by the Order of (EDIT: the Bastion), and since said order have been having troubles as of late, their Sanctum is not the safest place at the moment.

As such, the Order would be greatly indebted should we agree to house the foreigner Three-tailed Fox (the Jap) momentarily. The council agrees.

Three-tailed fox has a vested interest in spirits, apparently. As such, the Council accompanies her to Quezon Hall, where the powerful Abyss spirit was detained during the last story. However, half the Cabal took notice to a mysterious man in a trench coat as the tourist went about the building. Noted as the same man who was seen lurking around the EA frat house, they decided to confront him. Unfortunately, the man sensed their intentions and walked casually to FC, vanishing among the crowd viewing the exhibit dedicated to Macario Sakay.

**********

BJ notes:
*Someone is definitely following the Council, or at least the frat.
*Mariachi insists that everybody watch him perform at the Conspiracy Cafe in Visayas Ave.
*I can't do Chapter Catalog all the time. (cites lack of PC). Someone should take over.

Chapter 2

It is El Mariachi's performance night and those who can accompany him to Conspiracy Cafe. To El Mariachi's surprise and El Machete's contempt, they find out that another (person/group? I kind of lost the name) had also been booked to perform today. The management apologizes--there had been a mistake. El Machete, being his usual self, wildly protests the perceived slight and threatens ___'s manager. It almost turns to blows had it not for Devilgrass who suggested that the two to just take turns performing. Mariachi and ___ consents, which keeps the scene from escalating into something ugly. Of course, the two also seem ready to pit themselves against each other in a battle of musical skill.

___ goes first. As they fraternity watches, El Mariachi is approached by a member of his order, The Silver Ladder. They talk for a while and then it is time for El Mariachi's performance. A Fate Spell and one rousing speech after, he begins to take the lead in his competition with ___.

Meanwhile, as the fraternity watches their own perform, they notice the mysterious trench coat wearing figure that has been stalking them among the crowd. El Machete decides to confront him. Trench coat runs followed by a Machete waving Machete. Sonnet, noticing this, follows. Devil Grass and Three Tailed Fox stay behind as well El Mariachi who is too engrossed in his playing to even notice.

Machete catches up only to find trench coat wielding a knife. A fight ensues. Though mundane in appearance, trench coat exhibits supernatural abilities. Attracted to the sound of clashing steel, Sonnet finally catches up with them. Realizing that it has now become two against one, trench coat runs. Both council members follow.

Meanwhile Devilgrass, having realized that El Machete and Sonnet were missing decides to look for them. Asking people if they've seen a knife wielding maniac, he gains results and begins to try and catch up with the two.

El Mariachi and ___ perform a duet. El Mariachi, unused to playing with another person does not do as well as during his first performance. It is a close match and there is no clear winner much to El Mariachi's annoyance.

The chase continues. Eventually trench coat reaches his motorcycle, revs it up and attempts to run El Machete, Sonnet and the quickly approaching Devilgrass over. El Machete and Sonnet dodged and a spell from El Machete (correct?) almost sends trench coat toppling over. He decides to cut his losses and ignores Devilgrass to escape. Sonnet tries to shoot trench coat and accidentally hits El Machete, further aggravating the frustrated mage.

The chapter ends with Sonnet and El Machete frustrated over the events of the encounter, Devilgrass on the other hand is relieved to be generally unharmed while El Mariachi decides to buy himself a better guitar.

Interlude

It is three days after the events of chapter two. El Mariachi, his cousin and Sonnet all go out of the EA house to show Three Tailed Fox around. El Mariachi also intends to fix his papers so he may re-enroll during the next semester.

Along the way, they notice a person handling fliers on Christianity. The person is mundane but they notice a resonance on the fliers. Intrigued Sonnet and Three Tailed Fox both takes a copy. Sonnet, using the prime arcana, determines that the flier is imbued with two time spells. The first allows the caster to home in on the enchanted item and the second increases the sympathetic connection of the mage to anyone in possession of the flier. Further inspection reveals that the Seers of the Throne are behind the fliers. They leave them in disgust but not without El Mariachi first casting a spell that gives the object bad luck.

They reach the science building and split up. El Machete goes outside to cast a spell and notices trench coat lurking about again, El Mariachi is fixing his papers and Three Tailed Fox and Sonnet decide to go to the cafeteria. Trench coat enters the cafeteria and El Machete follows. He confronts trench coat and another fight ensues though this time El Mariachi is there to provide support and keep the mundane authorities from intervening.

Trench coat escapes once more. El Mariachi cuts a deal with Dimples offering mana in exchange of her erasing the minds of those who had witnessed the fight.

Contacts and Organizations

The Order of the Bastion: A mage cabal that holds control of the hallows in Intramuros, the sole outpost of the Awakened in old Manila.

-The Hierarch: Unknown.
-Herald: Samael Lightbringer, younger brother to Samael the Accuser of the Council of 7. Obrimos. Drives a battered red Galant Supersaloon.

The Shadow Council: A mage cabal rumored to be aggresively undermining the Order of the Bastion. They have manipulated other cabals out of their Sanctums and Hallows.

-Zephon: The "face" of the Shadow Council. A Silver Ladder willworker, presumably of the Mastigos path.

The Aesahatter: An artifact blade that seems to serve the purposes of the Timori (Banishers). The blade's spirit hates Awakened souls and their magic. Currently in the possession of Zephon and the Shadow Council. (With apologies to Philip Pullman and fans of His Dark Materials and the The Subtle Knife in particular.)

I can't do the chapter update for Jaykie's campaign until someone writes the finishing events for Phil's. I would've done it but I'm kind of missing a good chunk of what happened for the finale and I was told someone else would see to it. x_x

Agreed. The way the last chapter was handled, I didn't catch a lot of the background happenings myself.

Guys, please post the Revan arc finale already. Others can't continue the write-ups if you don't post 1st. Who was supposed to do this anyway?

Whoops, sorry, ako pala dapat mag-uupdate. Teka, here goes.

Chapter 3 of the Revan Arc

Once Three Tailed Fox is returned safely to the EA frat house, the mages start piecing their puzzle together to figure out who exactly was that trench coat guy, and what was he after. Samael Lightbringer shows up, either summoned by one of the mages or of his own accord (I'm not too sure). Machete intimidates the heck out of Three Tailed Fox, and she starts singing like a parakeet.

Trenchcoat guy is a Japanese Banisher (name please, I forgot!) who has killed some mages in Japan and has set his sights on Three Tailed Fox as his next target. In order to keep her safe, the Tokyo Concilium sent her over here, but he followed her. He also managed to break into the Manila Concilium Sanctum and steal a very dangerous Banisher-made artifact from them (and possibly kill any mages he ran into in the process). Samael Lightbringer pleads for the EA's assistance in stopping the Banisher and in retrieving the artifact - a Mage-slaying dagger.

The EA reluctantly agrees, since it's pretty dangerous to have a homicidal rogue mage around on your turf, and come up with a plan - since the Banisher is specifically after Three Tailed Fox, they will cast a glamer to make Machete look just like her, and set up a trap for the Banisher.

They decide to leave Jackal behind with the real Three Tailed Fox at the frat house to keep an eye on her, while Devil Grass and River Coins will accompany Machete, to be "her bodyguards". They make an elaborate farce of announcing that Three Tailed Fox will be relocating to the UP Hotel... and wait there.

Meanwhile, back at the Frat House, Jackal and Three Tailed Fox are watching TV when Jackal hears a scream that's quickly stifled. It's coming from the Sanctum. Jackal goes to investigate, leaving Three Tailed Fox behind since she didn't hear anything. Jackal enters the sanctum to find Gemini, one of the newly awakened fratmembers, being stabbed by the Banisher.

Meanwhile, the mages at the Hotel are still waiting. (You know, this plan was a bit flawed, eh?)

Jackal immediately sends out a mental SOS to Machete, and tries to buy time by talking with the Banisher, who's focused on finding Three Tailed Fox. Jackal tells him that Three Tailed Fox went out, and tries to convince the Banisher that he won't find anything in the frat house - while trying to shut the door that leads to Three Tailed Fox. The Banisher, however, isn't fooled, and tries to get to Three Tailed Fox, and stabs Jackal. Thankfully before Jackal gets any worser injuries (AGAIN) Machete and River Coins arrive Just In Time (TM).

(Side note: Devil Grass tried to cast his Turbo Running Spell earlier while they were preparing for the trap, but Paradox kicked in and it hit River Coins instead. DG was nice enough to continue with the spell anyway, and this made a difference, IMHO)

Anyway, Machete is still under the disguise of Three Tailed Fox, and tries to distract the Banisher, but the Banisher senses the illusion, and keeps on searching for the real Three Tailed Fox. River Coins tries to negotiate with the Banisher, while Jackal goes behind the two tanks for protection. (Meanwhile, Devil Grass is somewhere... running). The negotiations, however, break down, and a melee breaks out in the Sanctum. The 3 combatants start trading blows, while the rest of the council starts showing up. The stupid knife keeps dispelling spells and the tight quarters makes it hard for everyone to join in in the kicking of intruder ass.

Finally, the Banisher goes down, and Fu Man Chu goes up to check on Gemini - he's badly injured, and in need of healing, stat. Machete is unsure if he can heal enough to save Gemini, and a ritual would take too long. River Coins decides to call for help from the Shadow Council, since he had run into Zephon earlier.

The Shadow Council quickly swoops in, and while River Coins applies first aid to stabilize Gemini, El Mariachi runs out to meet them. Meanwhile, Sonnet starts investigating the dagger, and finds out that there is a spirit in it. She decides to talk to it, and try to negotiate - and it screams for the annihilation of all mages. Fun!

El Mariachi introduces himself to the Shadow Council, and tries to figure out what they're about. He skillfully negotiates a bargain with them - in exchange for the body of the Banisher and the dagger, they will provide their assistance in saving Gemini's life as well as a little extra (which I didn't catch because I was distracted by something shiny). A white healer then went in and cast a very potent healing spell on Gemini, while Sonnet handed over the dagger (and one of the Shadow Councilmen dragged out the corpse).

Zephon and the Shadow Council leaves, the former very impressed with El Mariachi. Just in time for Samael Lightbringer to arrive, very disturbed at the departing guests of the EA. The EA debrief him on what has happened, and he shakes his head at what has transpired. Samael Lightbringer leaves, as there is nothing left he can do.

boy_bakal's Arc Chap. 1

It's the beginning of the sem and the USC holds a party in celebration of it. Most of the frat decides to go and, of course, El Mariachi is called upon by the USC to perform for the students.

It is a seemingly normal night which of course means that something is bound to go wrong. Some of the more paranoid members of the frat, as is standard operating procedure for the group, actively casts spells--trying to make sure there aren't any threats. This proves a mistake as they realize that more than a number of sleepers have started gawking at them and talking about a mysterious glow surrounding them. It is as if they had mage sight on. Soon more people start getting affected and the frat members start realizing that they have a situation in their hands. This is made worse by El Mariachi's penchant for using magic to increase his skills whenever he performs--the result is panic.

River Coins and Samael do crowd control whilst Devil Grass, pretty much being himself, heads off to the deserted buffet table before waltzing out of the building. El Mariachi also concocts his own means of escape. Sevens leaves with Jackal but not before sighting Raja in the confusion and pointing it out to Jackal. Seriously, what is it with trench coats and trouble?

Samael and River Coins contain the situation at the expense of the USC's reputation and head back to the frat house. There they discuss what has just happened and hypothesize that the mass of people able to see magic being performed were does who were being forcibly awakened. Something is clearly up.

The next day. Dimples appears bearing fliers. It's a new math frat called Epsilon Delta. Mage sight reveals letters magically etched within the object. Epsilon Delta is clearly magical in nature. Action must be taken and El Mariachi makes a call to the BB frat in order to plan a raid against Epsilon Delta. Jackal meanwhile gets a letter asking him to meet up with its mysterious author in the church. He asks Sevens if she would like to come along and Sonnet's step-sister promptly agrees.

Samael decides to investigate. He orders a sleeper lackey to look things over. Walking along U.P. he runs into the lackey running away as fast as he can, visibly scared shitless. Upon a brief conversation, he checks what has just occurred and is surprised to see a veritable horde of mages chasing away members of the BB fraternity.

He calls the frat who rushes over and then confronts the mages. He talks with their leader, a female Acanthus. Needless to say not much is made in the way of diplomacy and war seemed inevitable. It is with much restraint that the frat leaves the math building without throwing a single fireball.

Later in the day, representatives of the Concilium and the Guardian's of the Veil visit the frat house. They proclaim that the Concilium has no intent to intervene but unofficially supports the frat and further tells them that the Concilium grants the Carte Blanche much to Samael's delirious joy. On the Veil's part on the other hand, the infectator tells the frat that the order (the Veil) will only intervene if it gets too out of hand.

Jackal heads out to the church for the meeting. Surprise surprise it is Raja. They talk and Raja tried to entice Jackal into joining with him. Jackal refuses but Raja lets him know that the is offer open and then leaves.

The next day the group receives a package. They open it and find the head of the Veil who had visited them the other day. It is a challenge from Epsilon Delta. It is war.

Just a suggestion, and also as a reminder of my decree long time ago:

Save everything you post into a word document guys. Back them up. After all the hard work you might want to compile everything into a pdf.

Very Happy

All the hard work here (and also on the other part of the board) seems promising.
Very Happy

boy_bakal's Arc Chap. 2

Samael and El Mariachi discusses their plans against Epsilon Delta and reexamines the motives of the Concilium and the Veil. They decide not to use the privileges granted the Cabal unless necessary and further plot to draw Epsilon Delta into a long drawn war, attacking them socially until they make the first move. To this end, Samael begins a smear campaign while River Coins, Jackal and Devil Grass are called upon to do research.

Before anything else could happen though, the frat house is set on fire by a man throwing Molotov cocktails. River Coins, using Force Arcana detonates the incendiary device in the attacker's hand, setting him on fire and the neophytes get the flames under control.

Their attacker douses the flames and begins to run. Seeing this, Sevens and Samael give chase and a well placed spell downs their quarry. Samael then attempts to read his surface thoughts getting nothing but the words 'clamp down on it' repeatedly. Before he can get anymore out of him, he comes to and bites hard, which makes him ingest a poison he has hidden in his mouth. He dies instantly leaving the Cabal with no choice but to remove all traces of unnatural causes on the man as they leave him to the responding rescue workers.

They use this as fuel against Epsilon Delta.

On the research end, Devil Grass hacks into the U.P. database and grabs the list of all math major second years and Jackal calls on the Mysterium and finds out that an artifact of theirs, one that can potentially awaken sleepers en masse, has been stolen. River Coins on the other hand needs access to the library's restricted area to find the location of the campus leylines. To do this, he has begun to seduce one of the librarians.

Fast forward. El Mariachi is holding a concert in protest of gang violence. Before the performance can begin, Epsilon Delta appears and confronts Samael. Things could get messy...

*End Chap. 2*
