Here.
"Hexproof" is pretty good, as it was only a matter of time until "can't be targeted by spells or abilities your opponents control" was given an evergreen keyword of its own. Given the circumstances, it ain't a bad choice.
"Dies," however, is kinda gimmicky, and made me lol _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

I'm ok with "dies". The assigning of the keyword is just another example of the slow trend of trying to mesh both general game mechanic and flavor.
The trend seems to be a very slow and gradual one, like how "battlefield" replaced "in play"; "exile" replaced "removed from the game"; "local enchantments", or "enchant ~", became "enchantment - aura"; "graveyard" replaced "discard pile" and so on.
I'm looking forward to the new Bloodthirst cards in this set. I liked the mechanic back in Guildpact and hope to see more cards featuring said keyword. |

Grim Lavamancer and Incinerate are reprinted.
Big news for Red, as it looks like traditional Sligh has a couple of its weapons back _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Now it makes sense why they didn't reprint Lightning Bolt. _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

(This thread needs an old geezer post)
I'm not totally sold on "dies," especially when in my mind, "destroyed" was already the best word to use for combining "putting a card into the graveyard from play (fine, battlefield)" with flavor nuances. I mean, consider artifact creatures. "Dying" sounds weird: Should Dark Ban now say, "Target nonblack creature dies?" the verb is so...possessive.
Not that dies is anything new. I think they already used the term on pre-Ice Age cards (I think Fallen Empires, in particular, used it). Still, if dies is revived, I think I would like to see "bury" (destroy without regeneration) again. XD _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Man. That post made me miss the old wording of Wrath of God.
BURY ALL CREATURES
Short, sweet and final. :) |

We were talking about that just the other day. They really should bring back Bury; it's got no shortage of fans, really. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |
