UPDATE:
I e-mailed Alona Kew regarding rates and dates and the tour and here's what they sent back:
By my calculations, significant savings. XD I am tempted to go for the 4D/3N thing, actually.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the Twin = 2 people splitting the P11, 780 / P15, 470, riiiiight?
Suggestion: Let's forego the dolphin watching / snorkeling and go for actual diving! Trust me, the dolphin watching's a waste of time. XD
It's P2000 for the Introdive. _________________ Expected, really.

Well, I'm still waiting for word from Alona Kew, but I think it's pretty safe to say that the rates are for the PACKAGE (which is inclusive of room). In a nutshell, two people (for a Twin Room) will split the P11, 780.
BJ wrote: | It's called Room rates - charging pax is like doubling Sogo rates for two people... @_@ |
Makes sense.
Plus, if you think about it, charging P11.7k PER PERSON is just utterly bugfug insane. Parang nag-Bangkok tayo, ah... or at least, Boracay.
So two people splitting the P11,780 = P5890
Anyway, you look at it, that's a freaking good deal. @_@
Add about P1000 for extras (lunch, dinner, souvenirs, booze...)
= P6890
@_@
Although, just to make 100% sure, I'll call the resort tomorrow and confirm that we're correct.

CONFIRMED!
Alright! P11.7k is good for 2 people! XD XD XD
AWESOMESAUCE.
Now, how many rooms do we reserve?
3 Twin Rooms = BJ/princessa , Xtian/Her_Serenity , boy_bakal/boy_bakal's missus
Now it's a question of the third room (or not).
If Revan, mnightsilver and juaberman are coming along, they'll get to split (and save) on a Triple room. At which case, they'll just need P4710!
If only Revan and mnightsilver, they'll either get a Twin room... OR room with other people. In which case, we'll get either two Triple Rooms or one Quad room. XD
Great, andaming permutations na pwede.
We need to talk about this guys! Please YM (kahit offline message).
(Please allow the Tagalog. Haha. I am so hyper. XD) _________________ Expected, really.

Yeps. See, this is why we have to book ASAP. The nearer the date, the higher the price is. I checked again as of writing this, it is now P4242 (inclusive of tax, travel insurance, etc) _________________ Expected, really.

lol yeah. After running through the gauntlet of online reservation, miscommunication, and technical support, it feels good to finally have the reservations done. :p

So we could sit closer to you guys, we'll try to request (beg even) people at the Cebu Pacific counter to allow us to snatch the seats at the 8th row.
Hope they'll let us. And hope at least two seats in that row are not yet reserved.

@princessa: Yikes, the prices are climbing up.
Unfortunately, something else came up but it is not final. I don't have a clear schedule at that time. Seeing that I have another incoming project with Manila Water this February which I just heard would be for two god-forsaken years long and that I do need to fix things for my masters in Mining Engineering. I'm crossing my fingers that those things won't interfere unless my goddess says otherwise. ::crossing fingers and toes:: _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

ACCOMODATIONS and INTRODIVE:
Guys, we need to finalize the rooms on Wednesday then deposit the down payment of P10k on or before Friday.
We each contribute P1k to make up the P10k, this'll be easier on our pockets as we have until May to save up for the remaining balance.
The rooms so far are: 3 Twin Rooms and 1 Quad. Guess how many people are on this trip.
Plus, how many people are going to do an Introdive? I asked the resort and they said if we want to dive on the first day, we need to tell them how many people are going so they can prepare the boat and the DM (Divemaster).
Dive is P2k per person, the rest can either go snorkeling at the surface or stay on the beach. _________________ Expected, really.

My life accountant and I booked our tickets today. We're supposed to be sitting on E8 and F8. Hurrah! Hurrah!
Now I just have to fix my application for my masters probably on April and I have to notify my boss that I won't be around on the 21st of May. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

Hold up on the accomodations planning guys, we spotted a price difference that can seriously affect the planning.
Alona Kew Rates (Previous plan)
Bohol Diver's Resort Rates
iirc, we'd considered Alona Kew as a cheaper alternative to BDR (already including tours, transit to and from airport, etc)...but looking at the math again, that doesn't seem to hold.
Alona Kew Rates: ("superior room", tour, breakfast, lunch buffet, welcome drinks, lunch buffet)
Twin - 11780 (5890/person)
Triple - 14130 (4710/person)
Quad - 17280 (4320/person)
Bohol Divers Resort: (tour, lunch buffet, breakfast)
TRANSIT - 700 for van (4-9ppl, may need 2)
VILLA (aircon, cable, bathtub, fronting pool, view of beach)
Twin - 5200/person
Triple - 4200/person
Quad - 3200/person
CHATEAU B (aircon, cable, hot/cold bath, fridge, mineral water dispenser)
twin - 5300
triple - 4300
quad - 3600
CHATEAU A (As CB, but with view window)
or CELLA SEA VIEW (As CB? no difference indicated)
twin - 5500
trip - 4500
quad - 3800
There is one more grade of rooms in BDR, the La Residencia suites, apartment-style setup, lots of extras, but much pricier. There's also a Chalet (beach-house setup, 2 single bed, 2 double bed, lots of extras) good for 6, at 18k.
Now the rates for BDR are significantly cheaper here with the math worked out. Hell, we could spring for as high as Chateau A/Cella Sea View and still end up with spending a significant amount less. Which sounds real good to me. About the only thing that might screw up planning is the transit cost at BDR. Is the 700 for the van already transit to and transit from? Or must we pay for each trip separately? The current count is 11 people, iirc, so will we need 2 vans? That would be a significant addition to the cost, but we'd still be ahead if we went for the Chateau B/Villa rooms.
Check their sites out as well, see what you think guys:
http://www.boholdiversresortph.com/index.php
http://www.alona-kew.com/index.html
EDIT:
Also got a recommendation from a cousin who's already stayed at the Pyramid Resort. Their cottage rates look real nice, but don't seem to include tours. I'm also not sure whether these rates are /night or something. I suppose someone will have to email them for more specifics. I'll try to get more specifics out of the people I know who've stayed in the area.
seg: It has come to my attention that princessa has challenged that we can't possibly manage to play a World of Darkness horror game during this vacation. The gauntlet's down, is anyone picking it up? _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

Yes, the math holds here but I've checked their site (BDR) but I can't seem to find pictures of what their rooms look like or maybe I just got lost. And if it's possible can anyone give me a recap of the discussion planning that was held after jogging. Please. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

Side-note: This is because of boy_bakal (yes, again. XD), because of very quiet, almost inaudible, side-comment he made last night at Starbucks. It stayed in my head for some reason, and I checked the prices again when I got home.
KA-BOOOM!
@Revan: Thanks soooo much for doing the math. I was dead tired last night. I checked Pyramid Resorts, too. While the rooms look pretty awesome, I'm of the opinion that we won't be staying much in the rooms, especially if we're on a beachfront. Plus, if the prices are the same, parang lugi tayo if Pyramid Resorts doesn't have tour in the package.
Plus BDR has a bar. XD
The only difference between AK and BDR (as far as I can tell) is that BDR does not include transit in the package rates. So the P700 is just one way, good for 4-9ppl (I'm preeetty sure they'll allow 11 people in the van). So two way, it's P1400 divided by 11 ppl is P128 each. Negligible, methinks.
I'm not quite sure, I need Xtian's input on this, but I think what we were looking at before was Paragayo Resort, not BDR. Paragayo Resort is NOT beachfront, which means we have to pay for entrance to the beaches. Since BDR is beachfront, there is no entrance fee.
@d_a: Just a travel tip - search for Bohol Divers Resort on Google Images. Look for vacation pics people took of the resort, plus read reviews. _________________ Expected, really.

Her computation in page one shows AK is cheaper than BDR. However when AK gave us their new rates the comparison did not necessarily held true. We just assumed it.
We are now waiting for the BDR's reply of their most updated package. _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:
