Hopefully there'll be better elves in the sets to come. Though I doubt it.

As for the return of fetchlands... WOOHOO

Now elves are more annoying than roaches.

@Q: It's feasible that they'll print Nissa and her friends without Lorwyn at T2. I don't wanna see Imperious Perfect again IMO. But then again, there's the M10 Elf Lord...and lots of 1CC 2/2 creatures to watch out in ZEN.

I think that was the card mentioned in one of the articles in WotC. it said that theress a zendrikar card that is a part of a 2 card kill combo.

meaning you'd like to make one as well Laughing

anyways i just read the planeswalker guide to zendikar. it's the best place for adventure!!

there are 7(?) areas describe in it, so im guessing it's the 5 enemy combination places plus 2 other whatever. or probably im just accustomed to Alara's this-place-only-has-this-mana set-up.

I've talked with Q about this new deck concept he jokingly threw out named BAWAL.dec. Basically it's just Meddling Mage, Pithing Needle and the new mythic angel that shuts down mono-colored enemies. Laughing

Maybe for kicks I'll make it.

I actually kind of like Nissa. Freyalise will kick her @ss, though. Razz And the ulti seems too hard to build up to, yes.

As it stands, she'll probably be a staple of casual elf decks.

Hot off the spoilers list...

Crypt of Agadeem
Land Rare
Crypt of Agadeem enters the battlefield tapped.
{T}: Add {B} to your mana pool.
2, {T}: Add {B} to your mana pool for each black creature card in your graveyard.

Sounds familiar...Smile

Pitfall Trap
2w
Instant - Trap Uncommon
If exactly one creature is attacking, you may pay {W} instead of paying Pitfall Trap's mana cost.
Destroy target attacking creature without flying.

Anti-Exalted card perhaps Smile

Devout Lightcaster
www
Creature - Kor Cleric Rare
Protection from black
When Devout Lightcaster enters the battlefield, exile target black permanent.
2/2

And they knew some people would build around black Smile)

And btw, in case you already knew, all ZEN lands in Fat Packs and Boosters contained textless lands whereas those in intro packs contain regular lands.

Crypt of Agadeem might be WotC's way of "fixing cabal coffers". Laughing

But WOW, I'm stoked for ZEN, I want to be able to return to competitive standard gaming.

Me eager to spoil people XD

Archive Trap
3uu
Instant - Trap Rare
If an opponent searched his or her library this turn, you may pay 0 rather than pay Archive Trap's mana cost.
Target opponent puts the top thirteen cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.
Illus. Jason Felix #41/249

I wanna go back to milling decks XD

Blade of the Bloodchief
1
Artifact - Equipment Rare
Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on equipped creature. If equipped creature is a Vampire, put two +1/+1 counters on it instead.
Equip 1
Illus. Jung Park #196/249

eh, they're pushing Vamps this time?

World Queller
3ww
Creature - Avatar Rare
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may choose a card type. If you do, each player sacrifices a permanent of that type.
Illus. James Paick #39/249 4/4

I hope a control deck could utilize this...

Needlebite Trap
5bb
Instant - Trap Uncommon
If an opponent gained life this turn, you may pay {B} rather than pay Needlebite Trap's mana cost.
Target player loses 5 life and you gain 5 life.
The traps around the vampire city of Malakir hint at the thirst of its inhabitants.
Illus. Daarken #105/249

and the best way to deal with lifegainers XD

Scute Mob G
Creature - Insect
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control five or more lands, put four +1/+1 counters on Scute Mob.

It's cute... something to fear in the late game.

The only thing that makes me hate Zendikar is that the cards aren't Where Ancient Treads friendly Sad They even made a card almost functionally the same as it (Electropotence), though the latter has more versatility.

That's now my favorite card in Zendikar. Do you think it'll go expensive? cause i'm planning to put it in my 5 color ramp deck. Twisted Evil

Uhmmm IMHO, I don't thinks so. It can easily be dealt with with an elim in midgame.

^True, green doesn't have much going for them.

Although I like having threats at all parts of the game, may it be early, mid, or late.

But well, I'll still go for blightning beats any day. Although, lands will be a problem for me unless I go jund. (Just for the Harrow)

It does have potential only if they bring back the concept of green red beats before where you get to beat up your opponents with creatures and spells if only that card had regen if would make a lot of difference.

I find it funny that Turntimber Ranger with Conspiracy set to "Ally" triggers off of itself, thus producing as many 2/2 Ally tokens as you like, and creating an arbitrarily large Ranger in the process Laughing

Creature - Cat Beast Mythic Rare
Vigilance, lifelink
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you have 40 or more life, you win the game.
4/6

Although it doesn't had evasion, this could see play...

Vampire Hexmage bb
Creature - Vampire Shaman Uncommon
First strike
Sacrifice Vampire Hexmage: Remove all counters from target permanent.

This vampire's a pretty cool guy, eh. Removes planeswalkers and doesn't afraid of anything.
