Alright what I need right now is an idea of what worlds in MTG, DnD, etc. will we be talking about? Currently working on the outline.

Dunno if it's my place to say, really, buuuut...

MtG: You'll want to start with the "base" world, obviously, which is the plane of Dominaria. You'll want to emphasize the connection between planes and mana, how certain colors are associated with certain locations, etc. A prime example of this would be the super-plane of Alara, so we'd be remiss to not mention this. Another plane along this vein is Ravnica, and I think as far as execution goes, Rav stands head and shoulders above Alara. The guild system for dual-color combos is very very interesting, and I think the flavor is spot-on for the most part. As for the lack of color and its in-game interpretation, just point out Mirrodin and its artifact-flavored theme.

Those are the big ones, I think. There are other planes that come out mostly in flavor (Phyrexia, for example) that you could mention, while there are some you'd really rather avoid (e.g. Kamigawa, which is very atypical of M:tG and just looks strange out of context). Other than planes, you may also want to note color-associated Dominarian locations, such as Kjeldor, Tolaria, Blackblade, Balduvia, and Llanowar.

Anyway just my suggestions. Feel free to trim and use as you like, there's plenty of material on the interwebs, so coming up with content post-outline shouldn't be too hard. Ultimately, though, I feel you'll want to stick with either a) quick overview of several relevant planes, or b) focus on Dominaria and how color affects various locations.

DnD: If you can look up Manual of the Planes, you're set. The "base" DnD setting has quite enough to eat up time, such as the Nine Hells and the Feywild and the Feydark and the Shadowdark and the Darkbad and... well, you get my point. You might wanna also dabble in Faerun/Eberron, but that's entirely up to you.

If you're going to mention Phyrexia, you'll have to point out Yawgmoth.

Phyrexia is an artificial plane. Iirc, an artificial plane needs the creator's constant attention to survive. Serra's realm, for example, was tended by the planeswalker by sleeping for long periods of time.

Some links from wikipedia:

Yawgmoth
Urza
Gerard Capashen

If you read through these, you will more or less understand the MtG world and storyline, up to the Invasion block. Wink
