I've become addicted to playing Pokemon online via Shoddy Battle. You can read an explanation of how it works at that link, as well as find a link to download it from.
I mostly play on the Smogon University Server, Standard Environment ladder. If you wanna challenge me there, let me know. (I'm the_bumper_car at Smogon U.)
It uses the latest Pokemon environment (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum), so if you wanna catch up on what the younguns are using these days, go to Smogon University (like I do).
