All right, Friday's rolled in, that some of us set for the proposed article revisions from DesignJam-1. It's progress report time!
Article point guys, I hope you guys can do a recap of any progress in your articles, as well as a list of what else needs to be done in your particular workloads, that way, we can reassign any available manpower and start consolidating texts together.
I'll take point on this:
1. REDEEMERS: Sinagthari, Children of the Fallen Sun
DONE:
-Old existing flavor text has been consolidated and updated to reflect our current interpretation of the Sinagthari.
-The state of the sun has been formalized as The Wild Sun, fluctuating out of control when not controlled with the Heart of Fire.
-Section on Sinagthari NPCs and Playing NPCs has been written up.
-Kudos to BB for working on the technical side of the new Nagthar Illuminator PP, and updating erwin's original Fan the Flames to its current form.
TO DO:
-More culture notes for the Sinaghari. Appearance, social structures, names and places.
-Sinagthari monster entries. BJ's already sent me stats for a Sinagthari Curse Priest, but due to technical problems, I can't access it through email or YM at the moment to upload it on the Sinagthari thread.
-Integration of tech items into the existing fluff sections.
-possible sidebars on: The Heart of Fire, and the High Lightbringer
2. Bonethrall Quickstart Guide:
-sadly, only minimal progress has been done here. BJ's and BB's new cosmology ideas haven't quite been worked in or combined yet. Also, the section on Godstones badly needs new work. I'll try to work that this weekend.
-Again, Dwarves and Halflings still have nonexistent flavor. Anyone with details, please post recommendations and brainstorms ASAP.
3. Kobolds:
-I'm not point here, but I promised to help writing up fluff text on the Ironguts kobolds, and so far, I haven't been able to deliver. |

The kobold article, to me, is the most mechanically complete section. Unfortunately, that does not imply in any way that tech is done there, and we still need:
*More racial feats: With the introduction of a new subrace, we'll need racial feats restricted to them, as well as feats that could be taken by either kobold and irongut kobold.
*Monsters: Seriously lacking in this department. Unfortunately, not a lot of us have experience with creating new monsters, and tech team is currently having problems with this. I have some ideas on the dragon engines, with the huge ones at 24 elite IMO. Also in need of development are the skylords, as well as a few epic-level ironguts. I am prioritizing the Sinagthari monsters, though, so tech team! You better learn fast.
Fluff-wise, these things need to be coherently joined together. Currently, the three active kobold factions are the Lizardbone-worshippers (to be covered in Ilawith Article, I surmise) Skylords, and Ironguts.
We may need to add in stats for a kobold skyship as a vehicle.
The Ilawith Article, at the moment, does not feel like it has direction. I would like to request a status report on this one. What help do you need?
The Sinagthari Article is almost done. We'll still need fluff for the PP, and a sidebar on why our CD is paragon tier. (Something about difficulty in accessing divine power) Leave the monsters to me. Tech still needs to develop heroic tier options for them, as well as a list of finalized godshard weapons.
Quickstart Guide: Revan, I advise you do this first once you're done with Nagthar, as this one is solely under your control. Feel free to decide which of mine and b_b's ideas you wish to incorporate. Both, neither, will work too; you're the last say when it comes to world fluff.
There. Report done. Now back to my RL work.

We are looking at an end of February release. As much as possible we should stick by it. |

That would be juaberman.
But I think he's still tinkering with the program, so I don't think he has drafts yet. |

No GSL yet. Anyway it's still pretty hectic for some of us. I expect to have a second edit of the article soon but not really until the weekend. As for the Ilawith PP, Ohgma says he has ideas now. Still don't know who we can drag for the Kobold flavor though. |

Note: The COPALs currently have paid PhP700 to the artists. We're still short of 300, plus a possible 100 for every major revision we ask for. The paladin in the angel @ss-kicking drawing will be replaced, and the city in the Ilawith drawing may get an overhaul. That's another 200, for a total of 500 left.
We may have to pull collective funds on this. Will we be an org-supported project? Or will this come out of the COPAL's pockets?
PS. I will pay for the color-cover myself, so don't worry about that one. |

Guys, I trust the most academic requirements are done by now, so shall we proceed?
We need article draft completion, guys. Normally, the system allows for a 1-month grace period for completion. But as this has been a long time coming, we'll shorten it to two weeks, okay?
I'll spearhead the admin part of this 1st issue - but I'm still not the EIC, so he can override me if he wants.
Unless AAS says otherwise; task deadlines are on April 17.
Get yourself acquainted with the system you agreed on; this way we get to avoid monetary fines.
A review of the tasks:
*Locations: Ilawith
-Fluff goes to AAS
-Tech goes to oghma
*Playing Kobolds
-Fluff in unassigned
-Tech goes to erwin
*Redeemers: The Sinagthari
-Fluff goes to Revan
-Tech goes to boy_bakal
*Quickstart Player's Guide
-Revan all the way.
If you do not know what you have to do exactly, then feel free to ask us, the administrators, for guidance. Or you could ask your respective head. Ultimately, though, we are not expected to do work unless we volunteer for it.
So, back to work! |

Hai. Sinaghari and QSG.
I do need comments though, what else do you guys think needs to be in the Nagthari article? We have a PP and fluff, iirc. What else should we pack in?
QSG:
This will need a bit more work. I'll go back to rereading my BT notes for this. I'll try to have revisions up by Saturday. |

erwin, please assign someone to the kobolds ASAP. We can't have that person knowing he has to do something by the 17th (deadline) on the 16th, if you get my drift. |

If you're talking about the tech, I'm handling it.
If you're talking about the fluff... do I have power to do that?
In any case, I believe t-b-c, juaberman, and supertotoy are... "jobless". I'll go ask around if one, or possibly more, of them can. |

t-b-c and juaberman have not submitted themselves to the new system. But maybe supertotoy can contribute to fluff.
supertotoy, do you want to take care of the kobolds? I'll try to give you a rundown of how the BT kobolds work. |

Reposting BJ's post, this what needs to be done with the kobolds:

I can create kobold fluff from scratch but I cannot link them coherently to the existing fluffs as I am not very knowledgeable of your games. |

@BJ:
Sure... That sounds nice... Just gimme all the details needed, I'll PM you further if I need help, possibly Revan also.
@Xtian:
Maybe we two need to make our own versions an see which one gets approved. It's faster that way, that is, if you have some time... |
