Okay, I'm calling for the first DesignJam for Bonethrall.

Basically, all COPALs are requested to attend, and we'll spend the whole time conceptualizing the immediate task at hand. In this case, it's the first issue of the Gazeteer. Now, normally, the EIC will be the one to declare a designjam; but as of now, I'm calling the first one to set a pattern.

AAS (or whoever EIC's the next issues), I'll leave you to set up the next designjams. I'm just doing this one as my last hands-on project for the org, and to continually show you guys that initiative gets things done Wink

Here's how it works:
*EIC declares a designjam. He also declares the time and place. All COPAL's are requested, not required, to attend.
*We go to the place bringing all our homework so far. We then figure out what else needs to be done, and do as much as we can during the design jam itself. remember, the point is to deliver the issue to the final stages by the end of the jam. No more, "Oh, let's postpone this because of reason x" crap. We do as much as we can.
*One of us will then upload all developed material by the night.

Okay, for this first one, I'd suggest a Monday, post-juabergame. January 19 is best, as I can assure attendance for myself. Location is Starbucks Katipunan, 5pm-8pm.

Now, I'm open to other places, but I must insist on having it in a coffee shop. It's the right ambience for a serious project on a light-hearted subject.

Bring printouts of all finished articles. Bring printouts of all unfinished articles planned for issue #1. Bring all feats. Access to sourcebooks is also beneficial. In fact, bring as much BT-related material as possible. And of course, there will be a working ban of every non-BT related material on the table. this includes PSP's, books (even "research books" in the form of Post-Apocalyptic stories are not allowed. We should be done with research by now. Core books are of course allowed), and other distracting things.

The goal is to figure out what still needs to be done for each article, do what needs to be done for each article, and figure out layout tricks. By the end of the day, we must already be able to visualize the issue.

Okay! Jan19, 09, at Starbucks Katips! 5pm-8pm! Who's coming? (and oh, I must insist that the EIC show up.)

Yep Yep. One good thing: Significantly less pollution that the one in katips.

Technohub it is, then. It's also on the way to home, and is thus more convenient for the majority. Is it something we'll immediately see when we go in? Or will we need to get directions to the place?

Also, in case b_b wants to go, will there be parking problems?

Been to technohub, no parking problems. I rather prefer that, actually, so I'm game if it's there.

If it's at katips, may or may not go.

Five onwards is good for me. I'll have to be somewhere after the game but I'll be there on time (barring anything funky happening, of course.)

Technohub works, near campus and everything.

Okay, guys. We need to printout what we have of each article so far, and bring it to the jam. Who's bringing which article? (I stickied the posted articles for ease of reference) Depending on ink availability, printout the whole article wholesale, or if short, print out the latest version of tech and the latest draft of fluff only.

So far, we have:

What else is planned?

Use your better judgement, but remember that we need to finish as much as possible by tomorrow. It would be a waste of our time if we end up postponing because we don't have something in hand.

Feel free to post the results of the jam ASAP, so we can continue on the work here.

Whoops, epic fail ako, I totally missed out on this.

I wasn't bugging you about it Carl, because I believe you have thesis (?) this sem. In any case, the very essence of the Designjam is that COPALs are not required to attend; they're only requested to.

I, however, acknowledge that we are undermanned. Right now, someone needs to weave the existing kobold fluff into a coherent article. you won't be adding new stuff, just tying them together.

If you have the time, I'll give you the task. Note that we're aiming for a February release, so we're mostly in a hurry.
