Since we're no longer pursuing the Filipino theme too much, the Sinagthari have been renamed as the Nagthari (unless somebody else can come up with a name we all like), the Children of the Daystar.
Changes to the Fallen Sun concept:
-Having the sun totally dead and gone is too much of a pain in terms of long-term campaign, cosmology, and feasability. Instead, the Daystar gutters weakly like a corpse-candle, a weak, flickering ember in the sky, that may also erupt in great storms of solar flame. The Daystar only becomes somewhat stable when the Nagthari are able to deliver a suitable sacrifice to the Heart of Fire godstone in their capital city.
New Redeemer Cult: The Wyrm's Vengeance
The Wyrm's Vengeance is a Redeemer Cult that was born from the fall of the Emperor Wyrm, patron deity of the Mandrakori. Few among the Mandrakori or the servants of the Emperor Wyrm will speak of the circumstances surrounding the fall of the Emperor Wyrm, for the shame of that act still haunts the dragonborn to this day (See Campaign Secrets: the Shame of the Mandrakori).
The Wyrm's Vengeance is a cabal of Redeemers that was organized by the dragon exarchs of the Emperor Wyrm, and the few dragonborn who did not join the rest of the Mandrakori among the Liberator cause. Few know the exact details of the cabal's administration and organization, but it is known that the Vengeance has a special interest in the Mandrakori descendants of the Liberator forces. The Vengeance actively attempts to recruit Mandrakori with tales of the glories of the Emperor Wyrm and his close bond with his children, both dragon and dragonborn. Those who refuse the cult's offer will have gained a powerful conspiracy for an enemy.
The Vengeance holds a special hatred for those Mandrakori that refuse their offers, as well as those who do not profess Redeemer ideals. The Vengeance actively plots against Mandrakori organizations and kingdoms, and were responsible for the fall of the dragonborn empire of (Tarkonis). Their frequent use of Mandrakori agents aids them in these endeavors, and when these agents are insufficient, the Wyrm's Vengeance commits the forces of its few dragon allies, such as Malathras of the Cleansing Fire. |
