i have personally read the book....and i have to say. i give it a 2 out of 10 (which is a lot lower than IGN's rating. they gave it 2 out of 5)

it's like reading a FANFICTION. A book bound fanfiction. A really bad bootleg of Lord of the Rings / Star Wars. I'm not really looking forward to the movie, and have no plans to watch it. Unless with a little kid.

check this out. plagiarism within eragon, and might be of interest for star wars fans. since the tolkien section is currently down.

tolkien's lotr has dictated our modern perception of elves, dwarves and trolls. and i really doubt any newcomer can change the image already imprinted in our brains. JK rowling? notice, she hasn't used any elves and dwarves in her books, so can't touch that.

anyhoo, back to eragon....

waste of time. don't even bother.
