So one of the DnDi features, the Character Builder, is now available as a Beta for subscribers. I've been toying with it for a bit, and I want to show you some of the stuff I've done:

First off, here's Thovash the dwarf, a staff-izard build:

You'll notice that the character sheet is in landscape format. I find it the better way to view my sheet when I'm on the laptop. Very efficient.

What's fun is that I made this wizard in five minutes. Awesome.

Here's the 2nd page:

Also in Landscape form. I want to show you guys the Power Cards as well, but it contains too much rules text, so I don't think it's ideal to show 'em.

Next, here's my character, Ereth Aurs'hilk, using an array that I would have used if I made her after FRPG came out:

Shopping for Tratnyrs

The item mode is very efficient. You can go into shopping mode, in which case it'll only show the items that you can afford. It'll also automatically deduct the price from your gold if you "buy" an item.

Alternatively, you culd switch off shopping mode, and just get items if your DM gives you loot from a slain opponent.

Notice that the Distance Weapon, which is from the Adventurer's Vault, is included. Material from Dungeon and Dragon Magazines are also included, like the Bazaar of the Bizaare for items.

If they keep up on the updating, you don't really need to buy books anymore (though the fluff will be lacking). Assuming your okay with your game being very, very laptop-dependent.

Here, I unlocked the panels and showed the panel buttons. This allows me to move the items on the character sheet around (note how I transferred the character portrait in front, when it's normally at the back of the sheet).

I also minimized the race and class features, because I'm already familiar with them. I could restore it, though, if I need to be reminded.

Again, this took me five minutes (assuming I already know all choices I want to make). Level up took two minutes.

Finally, here's a Warforged Fighter that I might turn into a Bonethrall-offcial character:

I did the unthinkable here, I think. I hid the ability scores. Laughing

Ideally, if I minimize-galore I could fit everything in one page. Or I could just scroll down. I think I'll do the latter. Laughing

That could work, though it wasn't my original intent. Look at the Mannerisms and Appearance portion on the Character Sheet.

Here's some new ones. The character builder is complete now, so I got to makesome higher level ones.

Here's princessa's 1st (and currently only) character: Right before the level up last Sunday game. Guess who?
