personally, i think it was lame...
really lame..
tha last battle between voldemort and dumbledore was good enough...
but the whole movie.... it's disappointing.

tell me what you think!

I find the development of the movie too slow. And since I was still having Transformers hangover, I found the action scene lacking.

It's hard to watch the movie and say it was good when you've read the book. It felt, lacking. Well, wizard fighting was pretty good, but I found myself spacing out a bit sometimes, in the other parts. Nice casting though, methinks. Kingsley and Luna were on the spot.

Two reasons to see it: Luna Lovegood and Bellatrix Lestrange. Helena Bonham Carter Heart :3

Otherwise, so so. Too fast. :/

I'm not much a fan of the books, and I haven't read much in a while, so my verdict is: it's OK for an ordinary moviegoer, but as with most book-to-movie transistions, it's not book-fan-friendly.

IMHO, the Harry Potter movie series wasn't really created for the book-lovers...

I never really expected much from the movie, because book5 was the worst one anyway.

But (with one t), it was never supposed to be action packed... Specially when compared to book4 and all the craziness of the Triwizard Tournament.

Put QUIDDITCH back! Laughing

theres probably only two good fight scenes, new characters specially Luna Love good and Bellatrix Lastrange is nice, I personally like those new undead looking horse thing but overall the movie sucked big time

Luna was in too much spotlight..

i agree that if you read the book, you'll find it lacking and it would suck.
but i think that bellatrix's and umbridge's characters were played rather well.

i came to hate umbridge in the movie as i have in the book.
bellatrix is crazy and cool... she's really maaaaaaaad. good portrayal. Very Happy

so anyone finished book 7 yet??
can i ask what happened?? Razz Wink

I have the PDF of Deathly Hallows if anyone's interested. Legit. I've had it about 2 days before the release, but I wasn't sure if it was the real thing.

Bellatrix and Umbridge in the movie were great and all, but I think their actresses were wasted, most especially Bellatrix.

@Xtian: Evanna Lynch (wrong spelling? whatever) is just too young, immature looking, and B-rated in looks. Razz

And I do want a Deathly Hallows PDF. Very Happy

(although I know I'm doomed the first time I read the epilogue!)

@mnightsilver: I'm expecting a counter statement from Xtian soon... Laughing Laughing
@Eris: Exactly the point! As princessa herself said: "As an avid reader..."

She's 15 now, going 16 on August 16. Too young? I don't think so...
