Bj brought this one to my attention recently.

I know somebody brought up the existence of a UP LB gaming group a while back that wanted to link up with us, but I don't recall if anything happened out of it. Do any of you know anybody from this UP LB group?

What do you think, guys?

Iirc, it was either my friend or oghma's who had that idea (UPLB HGC).

I don't know whether the one I know is still going to pursue it, or he's in contact with Tristan (the one who posted at the link).

It reminds of one forum I that would not let people join.

Update: I have offered the HGC Constitution to Tristan, and he agreed to use it.

This is a chance for org expansion guys! I'm now an alumni, so it's up to you guys to figure this out. But I suggest cantacting Tristan yourselves ASAP.

Actually, I remember Elbert sponsors a MtG shop there in UPLB. Are the LB guys purely DnD players or are there some MtG players as well? It could be nice to set up some friendly gaming tourneys ala aegis (though the transportation fees may be a killer Very Happy

hehehehe It costs about 200php for a one way trip from LB to Manila. Hehehe unlesss you guys would like to go there as ambassadors of the org.

It might be a good idea, seeing as though we're going to "forge bonds" with the LB group. I'm kind of interested in going to UPLB and checking out their awesome College of Animal Husbandry. Laughing

I think the first contact through e-mail and the sorts should take precedence. Trudging all the way to LB just for a little chat seems a little...
grandiose.

Anyway, I'll help out but it's better if someone with more authority and more org experience takes charge of this. Oh, and do note that its finals week and all, so everyone might be a little short of time; it would probably be better to tell the UPLB guys to talk it over during the sem break.

All is well and good, but I am under the impression that they need it soon. Think about it: What if their OSA accepts new orgs at the end of the sem, as opposed to us who have it at the start of it?

Just go talk to them. I have his cp #. Someone just have initiative to get it from me is all I'm saying. I don't care if it's Finals Week.

Things to check:
1) Their population
2) their dominant game
3) How willing are their people to take this seriously
4) What are their plans when they become our LB chapter?

In addition, share to them our MISSIONS and VISIONS.

Some time I think we should send some representatives there just to play games with them. Just to know them. The meeting will be a historic event for this org.

I would actually want to be in the party that'll go to LB. Since most of my high school buds now school there, I could convince them to join the hegemony.

Also, what's with the entire "chapter" thing? Sure, let's help setup an org with similar ideals, mission, etc, blahblah, but the term "chapter" leaves me a bit uncomfortable in that it feels like a form of, I dunno establishing authority or superiority?

Of course, I could just be my overly-PC self here.

Revan, the word chapter has been mentioned once.

More to the point, never was it mentioned that we are establishing superiority. We siply want them to share our ideals, and have them be an extension of our own camaraderie.

In any case, they're the ones who need the constitution from us. Last time I checked, erwin has texted Tristan about meeting (them going to us) so we could bond.

I don't see chapter being a word for superiority. It's more of a term for brotherhood. It's like UPHGC LB is UPHGC Diliman's brother. We try to share what we already know and they teach us what we don't.

LoL. I guess I'm coming from an environment where I hear the term "chapter" either in the sense of a knightly/fraternal order chain-of-command sorta thing.

Yeah, that works. Anyway, let's see what happens this sem break.

I suggest you hand it down to someone who can give it a 100% attention. I can't blame you but this matter should not be put on hold or pending otherwise the other group might think that we are not giving a crap about their idea.
