You mean PS3 and a HDTV right? I don't know if the PS3 works on non-HD TVs. And it's a chance for you to play PS2/3 games in your dorm room instead of waiting weeks to play over at someone else's place. |

It's Megaman 9. Playing it on an expensive HD TV defeats the purpose. ![Laughing](images/smiles/icon_lol.gif) |

I happen to know that the PS3 works on a non-HD set. A friend over here has it plugged right into a mere flat-screen (not even an LCD).
I dunno if he has some sorta adaptor, though... |

Nah, it still works in non-HD TVs. Though, of course, it's still better with HD ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Yeah, you can see high-definition pixels in MM9. ![Laughing](images/smiles/icon_lol.gif) |

*Mini-thread Necromancy*
Every Fatality in Mortal Kombat vs DC
You don't have to buy the game anymore - the only reason why people wanted to play this is on Youtube now. Man, the Fatalities suck, as do the "Heroic Brutalities" that pretty much leave the victim in a sad, twisted state, to the point where euthanasia is probably preferable. Also, take note on the change they did on Joker's original, far more awesome Fatality and in the one that's in the game. A more complete discussion of why this game fails can be found here. But doesn't it seem so wrong to see Wonder Woman get killed by a sword between her (badly animated) breasts?
Here's something to wash your palate of the awfulness that was that:
Tatsunoko vs Capcom trailer!
Yeay, my ambition of having a team featuring that Genie from Cartoon Network take on Megaman and Morrigan is complete! |

In one of our long, sleepless vigils along katipunan, erwin and I got the weird idea of renting out an XB360 for the sole purpose of trying out Soul Calibur 4. That hour wasn't wasted. Even though not all of the characters were unlocked (apparently, you have to buy some of them at the character creation menu, they were cheap though, as the currency used to buy them was easily acquired at the Tower of Souls sub-game), we easily had fun because the characters that mattered were already unlocked (except for Zasalamel).
Apparently things really changed from 3 to 4, as the combos I used to do with the guy with the scythe doesn't seem to apply anymore and I had to readjust my tactics so that at least I could win by time out.
Also, Yoda is irritating. His size made it so that regular standing horizontal attacks do not hit him and his regular attacks make him jump, which makes him avoid low attacks easily.
All-in-all a nice game, for the hour I played it. It makes me want to get a PS3 or XB360 even more. |
