So you'd rather continue this tirade until the wee hours of morning, and get everyone confused on where to go? I'm not saying it's the best decision. I'm saying we don't have time to discuss this anymore.

Loaded question. The question assumes that I want to continue, and everyone would be confused in the morning. And I'm not discussing anything anymore other than reply to some posts.

The root of this is that I pointed out b_b can't make decisions for others (and he agreed with me, btw). You saying I want to continue this till morning (which i can, but don't want) does not follow your another moot point of defending b_b.

Just pointing out some logical fallacies of your posts.

A question does not assume; a question asks. I didn't assume that you want to continue; I was asking if that's what you meant. Assumption and interrogation are different things.

If you're unsure, then ask. It's a good thing to practice, isn't it?

Was the question loaded? From your POV, apparently. But you did answer it, and that clarifies things. Which was my intention.

Whether or not it was loaded does not matter anymore.

The wrong assumption here, I believe, is that you think I'm telling the guys to go to GH or weep. That I said I was defending b_b did not mean that I agree with his statement,

boy_bakal wrote:
Thus, as original poster, I speak with utter finality on this one:

rather, I am defending his initiative to just settle this. initiative is important to an org of thinkers; otherwise we'll be stuck to a philosophical tirade (like what we're haveing now).

And it's settled that people should just go where they want to go tomorrow. b_b's intent was done.

So unfortunately, I see no fallacy in my argument, as you do.

In case you do not know what a loaded question is, here is the wiki link. Whether I answer yes or no in your question it would show that I'm doing a tirade which I'm not. Furthermore, it is irrelevant.

And you're wrong. A question may assume and that kind of question is called a loaded question.

And yes I can continue this indefinitely and no I don't want everyone to get confused. Razz

You believe wrong.

I am not attacking his initiative but rather his power to decide on things. His power extends only to himself and not to all people in this thread.

2328 on my clock and I just came home. Great movie! Reminds me of Quentin Tarantino.

It's fun to see some gore once in a while.

*Making a mental note to self: Always wear decent clothes when going to an R-18 movie*

@ oghma: Defend the pride, man, defend the pride! Laughing

Continuing the philosophical argument:
@ Xtian: Thanks for the link; I don't need it, though. As I said before, the question was loaded, in your POV. I said it was irrelevant. But since you press the issue:

BJ wrote:
So you'd rather continue this tirade until the wee hours of morning, and get everyone confused on where to go?

To which you said,

Xtian wrote:
Loaded question. The question assumes that I want to continue, and everyone would be confused in the morning.

Straight off, the question in question is answerable by yes or no.

Had you answered yes, then it means you want to continue this tirade 'til the wee hours of morning.

Had you answered no, then you don't want to continue this tirade 'til the wee hours of morning.

Xtian wrote:
Whether I answer yes or no in your question it would show that I'm doing a tirade which I'm not.

Be concise. Is the question loaded because it assumes that you want to continue, or because it would show that you're doing a tirade?

If you believe the question was loaded because it assumes you want to continue, then I believe you are wrong.

If you believe the question was loaded because it assumes that you're doing a tirade,

Oxford Dictionary wrote:
Tirade is a long angry or violent piece of criticism or denunciation.

Xtian wrote:
And yes I can continue this indefinitely...

My bad. I wasn't aware of the "angry or violent" part. Neither of us is angry, yes? Certainly not violent. The "long piece of criticism" is true, though.

Indeed, this is turning into a long discussion. One that is increasingly irrelevant to the original purpose of the thread. In that light I suggest a thread split, if you really do want to continue this indefinitely.

On a related note to self: Before vouching for a specific location to watch a movie, make sure that the movie is available in that area first. Embarassed

I'm a mod and I for the sake of my mod image let's stop this. We can debate on much more productive and interesting subjects. And I am not angry.

Agreed.

Greenhills was fun and all; I was able to indulge in some Xocolat (orgasmic!), plus I was able to go around a bit. Strangely enough, though, GH had no Sweeney Todd (They had Alvin and the Chipmunks instead, plus that John Rambo thing). So we eventually relocated to galle (most convenient), which has mediocre facilities and a strict ticket lady in need of some sugar (I currently have a gf, though; perhaps oghma could have tried that approach).

I honestly think Trinoma would have been more rewarding.

@BJ

Oh but I am defending my pride, fighting back against attempts at bashing the way I look is so below me.

Now, lessons learned. If there is a decent movie coming out within the next month, I don't know if I'll still have money or not. I've been going through my bank account like candy again. =/

...I dunno... Maybe... But I'd rather watch AvP.

What: Aliens vs Predators II
Where: Trinoma Cinema or SM the Block Cinema, for reserved seats
When: Hmmm... Preferably on a weekend

I, too, want to watch AVP2. Why are aliens and predators fighting on Earth during the present? I don't care! What story? lol

The Block sounds good.

The next time we are going to watch a movie I suggest doing so instead of a dota night. The more the merrier right? Maybe at the block because of their ultrapowerful aircons. ^__^

So it's AvP, then... Good. It's Sunday on my cal, and my family and I just watched In The Name of the King... Teh SUCK. It's a hundred ways to spell L.A.M.E., which is impossible.

Trailers showed good things to come, though:
Iron Man (a Robert Downie, Jr. starrer, if you know him)
Dark Knight (last chance to see Heath Ledger in a really cool role)
Narnia: Prince Caspian
The Eye (remake feat. Jessica Alba)
Wanted (an Angelina Jolie action film)
Jumper

Hope to watch any of the above with HGC soon... Wink
