Hey, it's been a while since I've seen you guys, and I'm wondering if you'd like to share your favorite ECL 20 builds. Just post 'em up here with the relevant info (mainly Race and Classes).
For starters, here are some of my faves:
1a. Illumian Cleric 10/Contemplative 10: Without relying on min/maxing, this build is still powerful.
1b. Illumian Cleric 3/Church Inquisitor 2/Divine Oracle 5/Contemplative 10: A variant of the earlier Cleric build, just a little more complex. This is nothing but an improvement on the first as you gain more abilities without losing on spellcasting. Hard RPing, however.
2. Human Druid 20: Do I need to even explain. Powerful buffs and support spells, decent healing, great abilities, and an animal companion to boot! What's not to like? |

I prolly haven't given this build as much thought as Pitz-Ikko's , but still (Xtian helped, too):
Incubus hexblade2/rogue2/blackguard4.
Virtually passes most save DC's with no ill effect whatsoever. |

You want a Cha-based combatant?
Gloura Cobra-Strike Monk 2/Fighter 2/Arcane Duelist 3/Blackguard 3/Mystic Wanderer 1. A friend gave this to me. Gets Cha bonus to AC four times, and to saves twice. With LA buyoff, you can get a couple of Pally of Slaughter levels to get another Cha to saves for a whopping Cha bonus to saves thrice! |

Mystic Wanderer is from Magic of Faerun, or at least that's what I used (in case there's a newer printed version). |

Divine metamagic persistent spell. Do it on Owl's insight. Get some items that increases caster levels. Get monk's belt. Make the party fighter cry. |

Dwarf/Human Barbarian 1/Hexblade 2/Fighter 2/Occult Slayer 5/Exotic Weapon Master 1/Frenzied Berserker 9: A non-caster build that is still pretty formidable. If Dwarf, I'd go with the Dwarf Fighter substitute level for the Axe Focus ability. If Human, scrap the EWM and go for FB 10 instead. |

Fighter 20
Good attack bonus! (laughs at druids and clerics )
Second best HD in the game! (laughs at druids and clerics )
No alignment restrictions! (laughs at druids and clerics )
11 class feats! No other class/prestige class gives you that much feats! (laughs at druids and clerics )
Access to fighter-only feats! (laughs at druids and clerics )
Automatic tower shield proficiency! (laughs at druids and clerics )
make a sense sarcasm check against DC 10. Failure means you believe fighter is superior to cleric/druid. lol |

Personally, I won't take the Constructor 10th. The ability granted at that level isn't worth the loss of manifester level.
Elan Egoist 10/Thrallherd 10
Elan Egoist 5/Anarchic Initiate 5/Thrallherd 10
Elan Egoist 5/Thrallherd 10/Sangehirn 5
I dunno. I guess I just like having lackeys working for me. |

Yes, but at the cost of a manifester level. Besides, you don't actually need it since you'd be spawning a lot of constructs at the same time anyway, like 2-3 with one manifestation. That's just me, of course. I just haven't found a situation warranting *that* many constructs. |

Well, I have another to DM a campaign here, and since nobody in the party seems built for frontline combat, I'm taking that mantle. And note: it's a gestalt game!
We start at 5th level, but I already have the build in mind:
Goliath Barbarian 18/Fighter 2 // Psychic Warrior 2/Hexblade 2/Occult Slayer 5/Frenzied Berserker 10 who uses a warhammer or a maul, for flavor. |

This is an old one, I think, but I really like it. It's more of an ECL 18 build, but...
Gnome Illusionist 5/Shadowcrafter 8/Shadowcraft Mage 5/X 2
Where X is some other PrC that you meet the prereqs of, or the last two levels of Shadowcrafter, or whatever.
This build gives:
-Full casting progression
-Access to all Sor/Wiz Evocation, Conj. (creation) and Conj. (summoning) spells (without tricky material components, foci, and/or XP costs)
-With DM's permission, and the proper Arcane Disciple selection, access to Miracle without the XP cost
However, one caveat: this build is highly dependent on spell/s with the Shadow descriptor. That means it's tricky for any planeshopping campaigns that will take place in planes that are coterminous with the Plane of Shadow.
I'm using this build right now in Eberron, and it's a blast! Early on you rely on your hard-hitting illusion spells, and later on when all your opponents can either counter your illusions or have insanely high will saves, you switch to evoker/conjurer mode and start raising some hell. At high levels particularly, you can enhance the quasireality of your illusions such that disbelief will actually hurt your opponents more. Furthermore, if you get the Craft Wondrous Item feat and your DM allows Arcane Disciple shenanigans, the party will never have to look too far to find tomes and manuals and such. So not only are you a very lethal gnome, you're also the party's second best friend (next to the party cleric/druid/healer, of course). |

Sorry, dude. Just sharing. The DM is one of my newer friends over here, a convert from 3rd Ed, which isn't that old. |

IIRC, it was Theurgic Specialist. From a Dungeons (or Dragons) mag. What it actually does is it stacks your specialist wizard levels with your divine caster levels for spells from your school of specialization. So, if you want it for Conjuration spells, you must be a Conjurer wizard.
IIRC, it's pre-reqs are: Specialist wizard, ability to cast 2nd-level arcane spells, ability to cast 2nd-level divine spells. That means Wiz 3/Clr or Drd 3 at the very least. |

Here's a nice build:
Rogue 2/ Sorcerer 4/ Unseen Seer 5/ Arcane Trickster 4/ Spellwarp Sniper 5
Turn any area effect into a ray attack, add sneak attack, and Walla! Now as Christian suggested, if you can find a way to make Antimagic Field a 5th level spell, this build definitely will kick ass. (Antimagic ray with NO SAVE! Now that is just crazy...) |

I've been messing around with this character build in Mark's Eberron campaign, Cleric 6, Radiant Servant of Pelor(of Dol Arrah) 10,Contemplative 2, ----- 2
Got good will saves, great healing abilities, Great Base attack with persistent Divine Power and has other neato stuff. It's like the Swiss-Army Cleric. |

You know, that is still a theoretical build... I don't know if it's been completed yet. |
